Lisa Gives Up On “Melrose”

After months of campaigning to join the cast of the CW’s new version of “Melrose Place,” Lisa Rinna had thrown in the towel.
The actress, who played Taylor McBride on the original “Melrose,” told E!’s Marc Malkin she’s given up the fight. “We had a moment, and it was real fun. I’ve moved on. It’s all good.”
Rinna adits to being puzzled about how the CW series will handle the return of Thomas Calabro (Michael Mancini) and Laura Leighton (Sydney Andrews). “I just wonder how they’re going to bring Laura back, because she was dead. I remember filming the scene. She’s dead. She’s dead. They wanna fool me and say she wasn’t, but she’s dead.”
Hey, that’s never stopped a character on a soap from coming back. Maybe Sydney has an evil twin…

Lisa Hates Her “Freak Cheeks”

Not many stars are honest enough to regret their forays into plastic surgery but Lisa Rinna is an exception. She talked frankly with MomLogic.com about her regrets on procedures she’s had done:
“I had Juvederm put in my cheeks. That’s what I overdid—big time. I tried it because my girlfriends did it. I thought: I’ll do it! I saw a photo and I was like, ‘Oh Jesus. That’s no good. That’s NOT good.’
“What I learned is that I don’t really need it. You get older and insecure and you think you need it and you don’t. I learned less is more. Keep your skin good.
“But, I still like Botox. It’s great! It doesn’t change the shape of my face. When you change your face, you don’t look like yourself. Looking fresher is one thing. I look like a freak!
“I always said I wouldn’t change my face, but I did it. I can’t not be honest about it. I’d look like a fool. It’s so obvious. I don’t believe in lying. I used to feel like it was nobody’s business. But when this happened, I realized I couldn’t hide it.”
Now if she’d just come clean about those lips…

Harry And Lisa Go To TV Land

The Hollywood Reporter says that B-list couple Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna have signed with TV Land to do a pilot for a reality series following their lives. The net projects doing a half-hour series to debut in 2009. Now we know where has-beens go after they’ve already done “Dancing with the Stars.”

Lisa Shakes It

I’m sure it’s always nice for photogs to catch up with a celebrity (or someone who once appeared on TV) who actually likes smiling for the cameras. Lisa Rinna is not afraid of photogs, nor does she avoid them. Here she is giving us not only a peace sign, but a shake to go along with those fries. Lisa was spotted yesterday in front of her clothing shop, Belle Gray, in the valley. Katherine Heigl and company were filming The Ugly Truth right in front of her store. I was stuck sick in bed the last couple of days and ended up watching one of her home improvement shows on Lifetime TV or one of those other cable networks that likes showing TV movies with Melissa Gilbert and Valerie Bertinelli. I would tell you the title of the show, but I fell asleep in the middle of it (Nyquil overload). Oh, well. I’m sure we’ll see more of Lisa on TV hosting the Academy Awards pre-show or something.
