Will Ashlee Be Nicole’s Sidekick?

Nicole Richie has announced that she’s developing a new sitcom for ABC, and she may be creating a role for one of her good friends! Sources report that Nicole wants recently- fired “Melrose Place” actress Ashlee Simpson-Wentz to join her on the new show.
An insider dished to The National Enquirer, “Nicole adores Ashlee, and she truly believes in her talent. With few other prospects on the horizon, Ashlee—who desperately wants to establish herself as an actress—was feeling down until Nicole stepped up.”
It’s sweet of Nicole to think of her friend, but does she really want Ashlee’s sub-par acting talents bringing down her show?

Nicole’s Ready For Primetime

Lately, Nicole Richie has been spending most of her time on her growing family and business, but the former “Simple Life” star has plans to return to the small screen. Nicole posted on her website:
“I am so excited to announce that I am officially working on a television project! I am creating a half hour scripted comedy for ABC in which I will be starring in, as well as producing.
“The story revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships. She must deal with, and navigate the many ideas of what a woman’s role is: modern vs. traditional.”
Sounds interesting, but I suspect former co-star Paris Hilton won’t be joining Nicole for this show.

Nicole’s Home From The Hospital

Friends and family of Nicole Richie are breathing easier today because she’s back at home following a health scare. The new mom checked herself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center earlier in the week to be treated for pneumonia.
But she’s feeling better now, as her baby daddy Joel Madden posted today: “So I stepped off the plane after a month out of the country, and basically went straight to the hospital for the week. But don’t worry all is well and we are home with no problems. I was supposed to go into the studio a finish the last few vocals for the record, but that had to wait. Family first.” Good news, Nicole—take care of yourself. Those babies need their mom!

Nicole Hospitalized For Pneumonia

New mom Nicole Richie is being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for pneumonia. The star’s rep told US Weekly, “Nicole has checked into Ceders Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia. She is doing well.” Hope this isn’t serious, since there are a lot of bugs going around right now. Nicole may be a bit run down after giving birth to two babies in only 20 months. Take care of yourself, Nicole, and get well soon!

No Wedding For Nicole And Joel

They’re one of Hollywood’s happiest couples, but don’t call them Mr. and Mrs. yet! Despite a cover story from The Star, new parents Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have not tied the knot.
Madden posted on the Good Charlotte site, “I keep getting emails from old friends and family asking about a wedding. NO we didn’t get married.” OK, we believe you! But I don’t think the parents of adorable little Harlow and Sparrow will be unwed forever.
