Newly-unemployed actress Nicollette Sheridan shopped at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, CA, along with new boyfriend Steve Pate and her dog Oliver.

Just because Edie Britt has been killed off “Desperate Housewives,” that doesn’t mean Nicolette Sheridan is going away quietly.

In an interview with TV Guide, the actress blames the show’s producers, especially Marc Cherry, for her character’s demise. “Somebody up there really wanted her dead.

“I think that whoever Edie represented in Marc’s life was somebody he didn’t like. And he had a very difficult time distinguishing between fact and fiction.”

Meow!  Cherry blames the network’s demands for budget cuts, claiming someone had to go. He had decisions to make, and since Edie was never one of the four principal “Housewives,” she was expendable. He added. “What characters do I need to go forward? Edie’s already slept with most of the guys on the street and has caused about as many problems as she could.”

Only on a soap does a character get offed because there are no more cast members left for her to have sex with. Hey, what about Lynette’s twins? We know one of then digs cougars. Well, it’s too late now.

Former “Desperate Housewives” star Nicollette Sheridan was seen leaving the Anastasia Salon on Bedford Dr. in Beverly Hills, CA, Wednesday. This is where the stars go to have their brows done. Great Chanel bag, Nic, but not so great booties. Are those Uggs or bedroom slippers?

Actors usually hate to see the end of their part in a series, since it also means the end of their paychecks. Some have gotten mad enough to take it out on castmates and producers. The National Enquirer claims that Nicollette Sheridan departed “Desperate Housewives” and took quite a few souvenirs with her!

An insider told the Enquirer, “Nicollette removed everything but the kitchen sink! I think she was angry she wasn’t given a farewell party, so she decided to take her own parting gifts.” The tab claims those “gifts” included a flat-screen TV, mattress, silk sheets, pillows, dishes, pots, crystal chandeliers and light fixtures. This haul could be worth as much as $30 grand since that’s what the network gave each “Housewives” star to decorate her trailer.

An ABC spokesperson denies the charges but the insider claims, “The producers are furious. They will demand she return the items – or they’re going to charge her for everything!”

Sounds like it would have been cheaper and less trouble to buy her a cake. Hey, at least she leased a truck to haul it all away and didn’t swipe the trailer, too.

“Her final episode is really beautiful, and it involves a lot of flashbacks. We did a flashback scene from five years ago.”

Sounds like those rumors about Edie taking a dirt nap are true. Well, it’s nice to know they’re giving evil Edie a big sendoff, but for me, the show won’t be the same without her. Unless they recruit another trampy vamp to fill Edie’s Wonderbra, things could get a bit dull in Fairview.

Will there be one less resident of Wisteria Lane in the near future? E!’s Ted Casablanca thinks so. He reports that there is a script circulating that contains the shocking demise of a major player—the conniving homewrecker Edie Britt, who is portrayed by Nicollette Sheridan. Ted sez:

“Here’s what’s been penned: Edie finds out that her husband, Dave, plans to kill her—and Dave almost does kill her. She runs out of the house, but, alas, poor Edie gets in an accident, something involving her car and an electrical wire. More details to come; the script is still being released for table reads.”

So is this definitely happening? Not yet. The producers could change their minds. Or it could be a red herring, tossed out to cover up for another oh those delicious plot twists that keep us watching “Desperate Housewives.”

Nicolette Sheridan looked as sunny as the SoCal day on the set of “Desperate Housewives” in Glendale, CA. Will her character Edie figure out that her latest husband is a psycho before he does her in? We’ll have to wait for sweeps to learn that!

Talk about cutting it close! “Desperate Housewives” star Nicolette Sheridan picked up a few final gifts at the Beverly Glen Market in Beverly Hills. She’s certainly looking svelte and sexy in black sweater, miniskirt and boots. Wonder what lucky guy will be kissing her under the mistletoe?

Singer Michael Bolton is paying for two houses—but has no place to live. Page Six reports that his housing woes are due to his broken engagement to “Desperate Housewives” star Nicolette Sheridan. The couple jointly purchased a $4.4 million home in exclusive L.A. community Hidden Hills last May, then in August, Bolton put his East Coast home up for sale for $11 million and moved west to join his fiancee. Things went sour when she threw him out two days later. A source told Page Six:

“He’s basically homeless—and stuck with two houses. He and Nicollette split the Hidden Hills house, but she wants to stay there and not have him anywhere near it. She also doesn’t particularly want to pay him [for] his half and thinks he should just give [the house] to her. Michael’s kind of screwed He pulled up his longtime roots in Connecticut to live with her, and now she booted him. He’s got nowhere to go.”

Ouch! This is not the time to be trying to sell pricey real estate. Sounds like Bolton needs a hit record—fast.

Nicollette Sheridan was out shopping in Beverly Hills looking rather perky in a long purple dress, white shades and pink sandals. Mind you, I’m not a fashionista so that’s about as extensive as my fashion criticism can and will go regarding the former Mr. Blackwell’s Worst Dressed winner.

The 45 year old Desperate Housewife star has been flirting with marriage with her on again/off again fiance Michael Bolton. We’re currently not even sure if the couple, who called off their engagement back in August, are back together, but it wouldn’t surprise us.

Nicolette Sheridan took her two dogs to visit a friend in Los Angeles over the weekend. Nicolette was seen sporting a ring that may indicate her engagement to on again/off again fiancee Michael Bolton might be on again.

I haven’t visited the women of Wisteria Lane for a couple of seasons now, but I still saw the footage from their recent episode when they fast forwarded five years ahead to see how the ladies are doing . Besides the fact that Gabrielle looked like crap, why wasn’t Edie in the scene? Has she moved from the neighborhood for good? Well, our photogs spotted Nicolette Sheridan shopping yesterday in Beverly Hills. She didn’t say much about Desperate Housewives, but then again, she doesn’t say much to photogs. Word is Nicolette will be taking a break from the show, but it hasn’t been confirmed. From what I remember, she’s the most fun character to watch, so I don’t know why they would let her go. Maybe she needed a break. Who knows. Either way, Nicolette still had time to shop away yesterday and I have more pics below that you can check out. Enjoy.

Though it’s true that celebs, like regular folks, can pretty much eat wherever they want to, if you didn’t want to be photographed, wouldn’t you stay away from places where there are tons of paps? I understand that the Ivy has a great selection of wonderful dishes, but there are also hundreds of other places Nicolette Sheridan could’ve ordered her salad (dressing on the side) from yesterday. So why do you look so annoyed, Nic? I’m sure pre-Desperate Housewives, Nicolette would’ve loved to get all this attention. But times have changed and now Nicolette can look as annoyed as Jessica Alba after leaving the Ivy. Good times for all.

It’s not usually the “accessory”you’d find Nicolette Sheridan toting around, but she’d gladly do it for a friend. Our photogs found the hottie Desperate Housewives star helping a friend out with her baby stroller while shopping on Robertson Boulevard. Nicolette doesn’t have any kids and her character on the show is childless, so this is really good practice for her, just in case. Nicolette is currently engaged to singer Michael Bolton and they haven’t set a date yet, but it doesn’t seem to faze her. No need to rush getting married, Nic! Who says you can’t be engaged forever?
