Reese And Ryan Share Kids For Holidays

Don’t expect divorced parents Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe to get into headline-grabbing custody battles over the coming holidays. The couple, who legalized their split in June, have agreed to put the feelings of their two kids first. Ryan told People magazine:
”I think the most important thing is to be a grownup and not let any kind of feelings affect how you deal with your children…I think the most important thing is the children. What do they want, what makes them feel comfortable?”
Too bad more parents—famous or not—can’t be so mature.

The guys caught up with Reese Witherspoon at Barney’s of New York in Beverly Hills the other day. Obviously we’re not sure who she was shopping for but we’d like to think she was shopping for boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal who’s currently filming Prince of Persia in Morocco. What’s up with Reese’s necklace? Is that a pair of swimming goggles? What’ll they think of next?

Clad in a Nike cap and Adidas shorts, Reese Witherspoon readied for a jog yesterday in her Brentwood neighborhood. Our photogs found the Oscar-winning actress doing her stretches and yes, she wasn’t too pleased about being spotted. Reese, who is currently dating cutie-pie Jake Gyllenhaal, has a couple of movies coming up. The first one, Four Christmases, is a comedy set to open during Thanksgiving weekend this year. It’s about a couple struggling to visit all four of their divorced parents on Christmas Day and Vince Vaughn gets the lucky job of being Reese’s leading man. She then lends her voice to Monsters vs. Aliens, an animated feature scheduled for release March 2009. More photos of Reese getting ready for her job are available after the jump. Check them out.

Are Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal playing house these days? Well, according to Us Magazine, the two certainly are. Us Weekly has a huge cover story on their current issue about Jake moving in to Reese’s house. The story also states that the two “are on a path to the altar.” That’s a very strong statement, but apparently Jake has melded quite well in the Witherspoon household and is even helping raise her two kids (with ex Ryan Phillippe) – Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4. Reese’s divorce was just finalized a couple of weeks ago and Ryan has made his own relationship with actress Abbie Cornish public. It’s good to see these two moving on and finding their respective partners.

Okay, Reese - time for a girls’ night out! Granted, I actually can’t imagine Reese club-hopping because she’s got her kids and all, but what’s one night? Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe were officially divorced yesterday in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to Eonline.com. Great, now these two can move ahead. Reese is currently dating Jake Gyllenhaal, who’s a total hottie, so have at it Reese. Meanwhile, Ryan was recently photographed with on-again girlfriend Abbie Cornish. So back to Reese and our drinks. Yes, I’ll gather the girls and we’ll celebrate. Free at last, honey.
