On-and-off couple Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson have been mostly off lately, but Linds is still trying to pick who Sam’s allowed to pal around with. It’s not a big secret that Sam’s family and many of her friends are less than fond of Lindsay and her tiresome antics. Now the DJ has become closer with an old bud, and her sometime lover’s not happy about it!

A haggard Lindsay spent Friday in court for a probation hearing, but that night Samantha was seen partying it up at Playhouse Hollywood with new mom Nicole Richie and her man Joel Madden. Nicole and Linds were party pals in their wilder days—like three years ago—but now Nicole has settled down to a quiet life with Joel and their two beautiful babies, while distancing herself from Lindsay’s chaotic lifestyle.

A source told Fox News, “Nicole has made it very clear to Lindsay and to their mutual friends that she wants a better life for her. Nicole hopes Lindsay will get it together and change her behavior, but until she makes a change, Nicole avoids her.” This makes Lindsay feel that Samantha is being disloyal. “Lindsay takes her hanging out with Nicole personally [and] as an attack on their on/off relationship,” the source added. It sounds like Sam is looking to get away from her toxic relationship with Lindsay and move on, but with this volatile pair, you can’t predict anything.

Lindsay Lohan has never been one to keep her private life private, so it’s not surprising that her latest tiff with on-and-off lover Samantha Ronson was played out on Twitter.

The Huffington Post reports that for several hours between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, Lindsay unleashed a series of attacks on Sam, including claims of “cheats, errors” and charges that “you JUST told me that your friends are worth more than i am 2 your family & that i’m gross.”

Well, it’s no big secret that Sam’s friends and family are not especially fond of Linds, and vice-versa. Maybe it’s time this drama queen learned to have her lovers’ spats the old-fashioned way—on the phone.

Samantha Ronson enjoyed an afternoon in West Hollywood with friends, including “Desperate Housewives” actress Drea de Matteo and her fiancé Shooter Jennings. Sam brought Drea some takeout from Joans On Third. We hear old pals Sam and Shooter plan to do some songwriting together when they’re both in town.

Those trendy Hollywood clubs better stock up on the booze, coz Lindsay Lohan’s single again!

E! reports the battling twosome of Lindsay and Samantha Ronson split again Monday night, this time over Sam’s friendship with Nicole Richie. The mom-to-be basically hates Lindsay’s guts, and she isn’t alone. Sam has a circle of supportive pals who’d like to see her kick the Lohan habit, once and for all.

It’s too easy to say, “Oh, they’ll make up again.” But a few years ago, would any of us have thought the wild Nicole could get her act together and become a model mom? Not in a million years! So hopefully, Sam can forget Linds—with a little help from her friends.

Sam’s mom Ann Dexter Jones told People, ”She’s doing great. She’s really, really well.” This isn’t a major surprise, since Sam was always the sane one in that ill-fated duo.

Mom added, “She’s always working. But I don’t pry. I’m giving her her space. She’s strong and smart and with a great heart.” But don’t expect Dexter Jones to dish on Linds. “Sam is a strong, fabulous girl … But I think it is good that I don’t comment on Lindsay.”

Wonder if anyone’s answered Lindsay’s lonely hearts ad yet?

Lindsay Lohan’s family has never been exactly the most supportive bunch a girl could have, but they may be finally figuring out she needs help.

OK! reports that over the Easter weekend, Lindsay’s mom Dina got into a noisy argument with her older daughter, imploring her to make another trip to rehab. A relative told OK!, “We’re all trying to convince Lindsay to go.”

Her family members aren’t the only ones who have tried to get the out-of-control actress to seek help. On April 6, the mother and sister of Lindsay’s ex Samantha Ronson spoke to a desk clerk at the Beverly Hills PD about getting a restraining order. Sister Charlotte stated, “She’s furious because we tried to do an intervention.”

All this is sounding like a replay of the summer of ‘07, when Lindsay’s addiction caused several arrests for which she’s still on probation. If she runs afoul of the law again, she may not get off with only a few minutes in jail.

While her ex Samantha Ronson went about her business, doing that DJ thing in San Francisco this weekend, Lindsay Lohan drowned her sorrow in a sea of booze.

OK! reports Linds had a high old time at the Hollywood Hills birthday bash for playboy James Krisel, making a grand entrance with five guys, including longtime bud Patrick Aufdencamp. Another guest dished, “People were pouring vodka into her red party cup all night. She was way beyond incoherent. She was totally smashed and couldn’t even form a sentence. She looked so lonely and lost.”

Lindsay followed this party with another, into the wee hours of the morning. It looks like those “alcohol education” classes aren’t doing her much good.

Who could blame her? Samantha Ronson is trying to keep a low profile in the wake of her breakup with Lindsay Lohan. A source close to the Ronson family told People, “Lindsay is extremely protective and jealous and needs an enormous amount of attention, and it’s stressful for the world to be watching them. [Samantha] takes it pretty good – she acts tougher than she is. She just wants the drama to end.”

According to another source, “Sam broke up with Lindsay, but it doesn’t mean she hates her or wants to see her hurt any worse than she is. She is over Lindsay and over all the drama, but still, she refuses to trash-talk her. She just wants to walk away gracefully.”

That may not be easy, with drama queen Lindsay wrenching every possible drop of publicity out of this broken romance.

Broken-hearted Lindsay Lohan is on her “Poor, Poor Pitiful Me” media tour, blaming everyone but herself for her recent split with DJ Samantha Ronson. 

E! reports that the unemployed actress slams the well-to-do Ronson clan, calling them “a bunch of disrespectful, unappreciative, jealous people with bad f–king energy.” Linds also disses Nicole Richie, who reportedly made a nasty crack to her while the dumpee was fighting five security guards who were keeping her out of a party to which she wasn’t invited. An insider told E1, “There’s a lot of bad blood between Nicole and Lindsay. “[Sam] hanging out with Nicole is basically a slap in the face to Lindsay.” 

Lindsay remains in denial over the breakup, instead referring to it as “taking a break,” and called it “an ugly, disgusting, childish and unfortunate situation.”

Lindsay still has some stuff at Sam’s house, but after she reads what her ex has to say about her family,  it will all be sitting in paper bags on the front porch tomorrow.

Congratulations to Samantha Ronson on her purchase of a shiny new double-deadbolt lock on the front door of her Beachwood Cyn. crib! These puppies are just the thing to keep crazy exes from kicking down your door when they show up drunk and screaming at 3 am.

If this, the security service and the restraining order don’t work, we suggest she get a pit bull next.

Her family may think she needs to be protected from former GF Lindsay Lohan, but Samantha Ronson won’t be asking for a restraining order—at least, not right now.

Sam’s attorney told People, “Samantha has no plan to request a restraining order. There is no basis for one.” Maybe she thinks those new locks are protection enough.

A source close to the DJ dished, “Sam does not want a restraining order against Lindsay Lohan. Sam had nothing to do with the restraining order against Lindsay that the police are talking about. Sam and Lindsay are broken up, but Sam does not feel she’s in any danger whatsoever. She thinks the whole thing is absurd.”

 It sounds like there’s a difference of opinion within the Ronson clan. The fam obviously wants Sam to stay away from Linds—but they may not get what they’re hoping for.

So much for those trips to rehab. Isn’t Lindsay Lohan still on probation from her DUIs—and supposed to be taking alcohol education classes?

Well, she seemed to be doing her own kind of alcohol education last night at the h.wood bar in Hollywood, where she drowned her sorrow over being dumped by Samantha Ronson. RadarOnline reports the spurned actress was chugging Belvedere vodka straight from the bottle—while Mom Dina sat at the table sipping wine. Too bad you can’t call CPS on bad parents after their kids grow up.

When she wasn’t downing vodka, Linds spent her evening texting, crying, complaining about Sam and smoking funny-smelling cigarettes. Who has the pool on how soon she’ll rack up that next DUI?

The affair may be over—for now, anyway—but the drama goes on.

Following DJ Samantha Ronson’s weekend breakup with Lindsay Lohan, her family has sought a restraining order against the actress. OK! reports Sam’s sister Charlotte and mother Ann visited the Beverly Hills Police Dept. to look into filing the order to “send a message” to Lohan. A clerk advised the pair, “The restraining order is the best option. If she violates it, then she gets taken away.”


Designer Charlotte complained, “She was trying to get into my party this weekend. We had to tell security to keep her out. Then she booked a room at the Chateau Marmont. Her room was right below… She also followed our brother Mark around.”
 


Mom Ann added, “[Lindsay] was doing drugs, and we could not sleep that night at the Chateau. She was complaining about the music and noise coming from upstairs. She was trying to get attention, so that Sam could come down.”

So will the Ronson family succeed in shutting Lindsay out of Sam’s life? Or will the couple kiss and make up one more time?

After Samantha Ronson had her banned from a party and changed the locks on her house, Lindsay Lohan finally took the hint that her lover doesn’t love her anymore.

Today, Lohan confirmed to E! that the pair has split. Like she has a choice after being kicked to the curb. Always the Queen of Denial, Linds stated, “We are taking a brief break so I can focus on myself.”

Gee, what has she been focusing on for the last 20-something years? Certainly not her career, what’s left of it. In this case, “focusing on herself” probably means shacking up in the Chateau Marmont, doing whatever substances she can get until they kick her out.

Could the tumultuous affair of Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson finally be over? Friday night, Sam did her best DJ thing at the party for her designer sis Charlotte’s I Heart Ronson clothing line for JCPenney held at Bar Marmont on the Sunset Strip. Lots of friends came out to congratulate Charlotte, including Nicole Richie, Sting, Jewel and Paris Hilton, as well as bro Mark Ronson, whose band played a set.

Conspicuously absent was Sam’s lover Lindsay, probably because the Ronsons wanted the night to be about Charlotte without having drama queen Linds make the whole affair about her. A source told OK! that special precautions were taken to make sure the unemployed actress wouldn’t get into the bash. The source dished, “Unless Lindsay rams a truck through the red carpet or skydives in, she won’t be here.” But Lindsay refused to take the hint and tried to crash the party late in the evening—only to be restrained by five security guards!

It seems unlikely that the couple kissed and made up the next day, since TMZ reports that a locksmith was spotted at Sam’s house, changing the locks. Wonder if she has security guards ready in case Linds makes a repeat performance?

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson enjoyed lunch at trendy Cecconi’s on Melrose in West Hollywood before doing a little shopping at nearby Maxfield. Lindsay’s wearing her black leggings, as usual. Her high-heeled gladiator sandals are a major item for spring ‘09.

Lindsay Lohan is still spending money like she was still working. Despite not making a movie since the the 2007 bomb “I Know Who Killed Me,” the actress recently splurged on a pricey Rolex watch and a Maserati!

Gatecrasher reports that Lindsay’s spendthrift ways have put a strain on her already-stormy relationship with Samantha Ronson. A friend of the actress dished:

“Lindsay is spending like crazy! She’s living on credit right now. She has no cash. The problem is, the money being spent is mostly Sam’s because Lindsay doesn’t really have any of her own at the moment; she’s really taken on the ‘man’ role in their romance. Sam really thinks Lindsay needs to learn how to become a recessionista and manage her money better.”

Good luck with that. Shopping addiction is just as hard to break as—well, the others Lindsay’s been in rehab for. 

Lindsay Lohan is a free woman today, following a wild weekend that saw her hiding out from a warrant for her arrest.

 On Friday, a Beverly Hills judge issued the warrant, which carried $50,000 bail. The warrant was believed to be connected to the three years probation Linds is serving following a pair of DUI arrests in 2007.  This seriously cut into her weekend party plans since she could be arrested and hauled off to jail if she showed her face in Beverly Hills.

So the unemployed actress holed up in the home of GF Samantha Ronson, but the pair got into screaming fights that left a window broken and caused neighbors to summon the cops. The brawling pair refused to answer the door and the police eventually left.

After all this drama, Lindsay’s new lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley appeared in court this morning producing documentation that Lindsay did not violate her probation but merely switched from one alcohol education program to another. The AP reports Holley stated, “As you saw in court, this was really much ado about nothing.”

With Lindsay, it seems to always be about nothing, Which is what her formerly promising career has come to these days.
