Tyra’s Stalker Convicted

Tyra Banks can sleep more easily tonight, knowing the man who has been stalking her is behind bars.
The AP reports Brady Green, of Dublin, Ga., has been convicted of stalking, harassment, criminal trespass and attempted aggravated harassment against the supermodel/talk show hostess. Green will be sentenced in June and could get up to 90 days in jail. The case was heard by a Manhattan Criminal Court judge, and Banks testified she was afraid for her safety.
Maybe this will convince the guy to go back to Georgia and find a better hobby.

Tyra To Testify

Supermodel-turned-TV host Tyra Banks has attracted an audience she doesn’t want—an alleged stalker.
The AP reports Tyra is set to testify against “admirer” Brady Green, who is accused of following the host of “America’s Next Top Model” and “The Tyra Banks Show” all over the country, scaring the crap out of her. Green’s defense lawyer claims her client is merely a fan who responded to Tyra’s invitation for fans “to reach out” to her.
Get a clue, wacko. She meant send her an e-mail, not have yourself Fed-Exed to her house.

Wanna-Be Models Riot In NYC!

Those chicks on “America’s Next Top Model” have always been a vicious bunch but this year’s crop may be too fierce for even Tyra Banks to handle.
According to the AP, chaos erupted in the line of aspiring models waiting to audition for the show outside Manhattan’s Park Central hotel on Saturday. Reports are that a fight broke out among potential contestants who had been waiting for hours and others who tried to break into the line. Then a car backfired and someone yelled “bomb!” When the smoke cleared, three people were arrested and six others injured.
What are they, crazy? Yeah, that’s a rhetorical question. Have any of the past “winners” of this stupid show ever become real “Top Models?” Nah. And this year’s crop has less than no chance since they’re looking for combatants—er, contestants—under 5′7″. Those shrimps ain’t gonna make it, no way.
But since we already know that people will do most anything to get on a reality show, including have 14 kids they can’t support, this can’t be much of a surprise. And if the ones who started the fight actually get on the show, it might be less boring than usual.

Tyra About To Wed?

Is Tyra Banks about to walk down the aisle? Well, according to Mediatakeout.com, she might be getting closer to wearing a wedding dress. The website is claiming that Tyra recently enlisted a very prominent Manhattan law firm to draft a prenuptial agreement for her. Their source (or snitch, as they lovingly call this particular source) works in the law firm Tyra hired. The mini-TV mogul has been seriously dating multi-millionaire investment banker, John Utendahl for two years. Rumors have surfaced before that Tyra moved production for her talk-show from Los Angeles to New York to be closer to John, but she has denied it. She quelled the rumor with Essence Magazine last year: “I’m very insulted by that rumor. I employ a lot of people; their livelihoods rest on my shows. The move to New York was a decision I made with my manager. It was not about a man.” There’s been no word yet from Tyra’s camp regarding this wedding rumor, but maybe she’ll be announcing the good news on her show very soon.

Seriously, who knew Tyra Banks would be a mini TV mogul. I don’t think anyone guessed it, but we won’t hate. Love her or hate her, the girl’s getting it done. And she’s really getting it done on the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar. In this issue, Tyra pays homage to Michelle Obama. Clad in a slinky black shift dress and pearls, she poses next to a Barack Obama look-a-like in the White House in one of the photos. She also talked about the possible future first lady. “With Barack Obama, his becoming president is them becoming president because Michelle was there from the beginning,” Tyra told Harper’s. “Without Michelle, he wouldn’t be there.” I’m sure there are even more Tyra-isms in the September issue, so go grab a copy at your local newsstands on August 19, if you’re so inclined.
