This Dude Won American Idol

I heard all season long that some dude named David Archuleta was going to win American Idol. Well, I guess everyone was wrong. Forty million viewers tuned in last night to watch David Cook win this season’s American Idol. Congrats to DC. He was crowned in a special two-hour finale last night. They needed two hours to crown a winner? Obviously you can tell I’m not a big Idol fan, but I do appreciate all the craziness it brings out in folks. I have a friend who won’t answer her cell phone when Idol’s on. Even after seven seasons, it still brings on big ratings. Oh, well. No more American Idol until next year. Congratulations to David Cook. Let’s hope he doesn’t disappear like Ruben Studdard.
