Ellen To Tie The Knot

It was a landmark day yesterday for the state of California, as our Supreme Court struck down the ban on gay marriage. Good times. With the good news at hand, the most famous lesbian in Hollywood, Ellen DeGeneres, will reportedly marry girlfriend Portia de Rossi. That’s not Portia on the pic above, obviously, but I did dig up an old pic of E & P when they first got together below. Ellen announced the wedding news on a recent taping of her show. In an interview, she told The Advocate: “I’m thrilled that the California Supreme Court overturned the ban on gay marriage. I can’t wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday…not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote.” Congrats to Ellen and Portia on the upcoming nuptials.
