Kevin’s Lawyer Gets Emergency Hearing

Mark Vincent Kaplan’s phone number is probably in Kevin Federline’s speed dial by now. After last night’s Britney situation Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, asked for an emergency hearing this morning at L.A. Superior Court. Britney’s lawyer, Tara Scott, was also present. Though Kaplan did not make any statements to the press this morning, sources have confirmed that he will be asking the court to take away Spears’ visitation rights while she is on a 72-hour watch. It’s looking more and more likely that Kevin will get full custody of the kids for good at this moment. Even after the 72-hour watch, Britney will probably have to go through numerous other treatments, possibly including another stint at rehab. When it involves children, as it does here, there are definitely more obstacles you have to jump through before you can get your life back to normal. And normal is not exactly a word I can use when describing Britney’s life, but I do hope this breakdown is the start of her real rehabilitation.
