Updates On Heath Ledger’s Death

There have been a lot of updates since news broke this afternoon of Heath Ledger’s sudden death. As of 6:30 pm EST his body was taken by the City of New York Medical Examiner, as you can see in the picture above. His autopsy will be completed by tomorrow afternoon, officials announced. I just wanted to clear up and repeat some of the information I’ve found out since my last posting. First off, it’s been confirmed that the apartment where Heath was found is not Mary Kate Olsen’s, as originally reported. Sleeping pills, both prescriped and over the counter, were found around his body. Here are NYPD Commisioner Paul Browne’s exact statement: “There were some (pills) still left in the bottle. They were not scattered around the apartment. The room was not in disarray. (And) there were no apparent signs of foul play.”

There have also been reports that his death was caused by suicide, but TMZ is reporting that Heath’s family is very upset about this rumor and completely deny that suicide had a role in his death. This is all so tragic and I really feel for his 2 year old daughter, Matilda. Michelle Williams is said to be on her way to New York City right now and I’m sure she must be devastated about all of this. Please stay tuned to get more info on this sad event.
