At Least They’re Not Smoking

Melanie Griffith and daughter Dakota were found yesterday hanging out on Sunset Blvd. and stopping by a tattoo parlor. The mother and daughter team got some flack last year because of a picture taken of them smoking together. I guess Dakota was not of age to smoke cigarettes (in California, we have to be 18 years old to smoke) back then. Maybe she is now, but Melanie definitely got a lot of flack for not being a good mom. I agree that it’s probably not a bad idea to share your Kools with your 16 year old daughter, but I thought folks were a bit harsh on Melanie. At any rate, Melanie and her daughter seem very close and spend a lot of bonding time together. If anything, people should probably congratulate Melanie on that. Teenage daughters don’t exactly like spending too much time with their moms at that age, so Antonio Banderas’ wifey must be doing something right.
