Welcome To The Jungle

Welcome to Lipstick Jungle, Brooke Shield’s new show on NBC. Our NY compatriots caught up with the actress on the set of her new series. Lipstick Jungle is supposed to be taking over the Thursday night ER slot. The show is being compared to another new series, ABC’s Cashmere Mafia with Lucy Lui. Interestingly enough, both have ties to Sex And The City. Besides the premise (both shows, like SATC, depict a group of successful women/friends living in NYC), both Lipstick and Cashmere have ex Sex And The City staffers on board. Candace Bushnell, who wrote the book that spawned SATC, has also penned the novel which Lipstick Jungle is based on, and acts as executive producer for the show. Cashmere Mafia, on the other hand, is also created by SATC creator, Darren Starr.
