Izzie’s Going Down

According to the new issue of Us Magazine, Katherine Heigl’s character in Grey’s Anatomy could be killed off by next season. This news comes from one of the magazine’s “well-placed” sources. Katherine recently got a lot of flack for withdrawing herself from Emmy nominations this year because she felt she wasn’t “given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.” In response to her biting comments, staffers are considering giving Kath’s character Izzie a brain tumor. “[Producer] Shonda [Rhimes] and the writers are pissed at her,” the source tells Us. “It’s their way of screwing with her. She won’t know whether she’s going to live or die.” Aww, poor Katherine. I’m sure she thought she was doing a good thing by withdrawing her name from the Emmy nomination list and her words just blew up in her face. At least if this rumor is true, she’ll get the juicy script she’s been waiting for from the Grey’s Anatomy writers. Everyone (sorta’) wins.
