Update: I guess there’s confirmation that Mariah and Nick are indeed married. E! News talked to family member Linda Cannon, who confirmed the nuptials. I wonder how Linda and Nick are related. Anyway, there you go. I’m still waiting for Mariah’s word, though. Hey, she might confirm it in song.

Well, well, what do we have here? It seems that America’s favorite high-pitched songbird got herself a groom. Mariah Carey and boyfriend Nick Cannon have eloped! Latina Magazine was the first to report the news. Mariah and Nick wed yesterday on an island and the event was said to be very impulsive. Rapper Da Brat, along with a small group of friends were in attendance. By the way, Mariah and Da Brat are good friends, so this is not some random thing. I’m just wondering if this is true or if it’s one of Ashton’s pranks again. There were reports yesterday about the couple getting engaged, so a quick wedding is definitely a surprise. I wonder what Mariah wore. And the only thing I can imagine Nick Cannon wearing is that marching band uniform he wore on Drumline. Well, if it’s the real deal, then congrats to the hungover couple. C’mon, you know there was liquor involved in this madness.
