New Movie Posters

I love movie posters. It’s no secret because I remind you guys every time I post a movie poster. Yesterday, three new movie posters were released, Pixar’s 3D CGI movie simply titled ‘Up,’ the Nicole Kidman-Hugh Jackman epic ‘Australia,’ and the standard Sandra Bullock vehicle ‘The Proposal.’

Pixar has released their poster for ‘UP.’ It will be Pixar’s first 3D movie and it follows a 78 year old man who decides to explore the world with the help of an 8 year old boy. In case you can’t see it, that’s a house tied to those balloons.

Finally our first official look at ‘The Proposal,’ which we’ve been following on set for quite some time now. Nothing special. Actually, quite bland. In ‘The Proposal,’ Sandra Bullock plays a demanding female boss faced with deportation to Canada who agrees to a sham engagement and marriage with her young male assistant. Guess who the assistant is.

And here’s the poster for ‘Australia.’ An epic romantic action adventure, set in Australia of all places, on the  brink of World War II. Nicole Kidman plays an aristocrat who meets up with a local rough neck, together, they help save her home. I’m not sold on this poster. It tries to be epic but the blatant romanticism gives it a Harlequin romance novel feel.
