Adnan Ghalib Pleads No Contest

Adnan Ghalib pleaded no contest to felony hit and run in a Van Nuys courtroom today. Judge Speers ordered Ghalib to server 45 days of jail time as well as 45 days of community service. Ghalib must also attend anger management courses and will serve three years of probation. The two counts felony assault with a deadly weapon and felony battery were dropped as part of the plea deal. Ghalib was facing a potential 7 years of jail time stemming from an incident in which a process server alleged Ghalib used his car to assault the process server as he tried to serve Ghalib restraining order papers. Ghalib must surrender himself to Los Angeles County Jail on or before November 26, 2009.

Adnan Ghalib arrived at the at the Van Nuys Courthouse, where he pled not guilty to striking a process server with his car. The former boyfriend of Britney Spears was arraigned Monday for felony assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run and battery, and will be back in court on September 29.

Adnan’s Hearing Begins

Former paparazzi Adnan Ghalib arrived at the Van Nuys, CA, courthouse this morning for the first day of the preliminary hearing pertaining to his scheduled trial for felony assault. The L.A. County District Attorney has charged Ghalib with three felonies: assault with a deadly weapon, battery, and hit and run.
UPDATE: TMZ reports a judge has ruled there is enough evidence to prosecute Adnan Ghalib for all three charges and he will be arraigned on July 23.
