Anne And Helena Join Alice

Anne Hathaway has signed on to join the cast of Tim Burton’s ‘Alice in Wonderland,’ joining an already cast Johnny Depp as the ‘Mad Hatter.’ Anne will be playing ‘The White Queen,’ deposed monarch of Wonderland dethroned and banished by sister ‘The Red Queen.’ Helena Bonham-Carter, wife and muse of Tim Burton has been cast as the ‘The Red Queen,’ who has the famous line “Off with their head!”

Anne Hathaway sure has come a long way since ‘The Princess Diaries’ days. Remember when she went out of her way to shed the Disneyesque aura by pushing the envelope with raunch and nakedness in Havok and Brokeback Mountain? I sure do. And then that Italian boyfriend of hers who got sent up the river for swindling? Is this girl trying that hard or does she really like raunchy nakedness? Probably not considering she’s kinda gone full circle with her stint at Agent 99 in this years family friendly ‘Get Smart.’ Either way, who knows for sure but what I do know is that we got some pictures of Anne in a ‘wait, let me take off my sweater and be sure to get my good side ala Posh’ moods yesterday. The FBI have seized the private journals of actress Anne Hathaway, as part of an ongoing investigation against her ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, according to the NY Daily News. The agents confiscated the diaries of the Devil Wears Prada star during another raid on Raffaello’s $37,500-a-month Trump Tower apartment. Raffaello is charged with eleven counts of fraud and money laundering. Anne has not been charged with any crime and has said to have cut ties with her former beau. “She’s changed her numbers so he can’t reach her,” a friend told the NY Daily. “Raffaello has been trying to call her all the time.” Raffaello was also arrested in April for allegedly writing a $215,000 bad check. Anne and Raffaello dated for four years.

Update: Bails’ been set for $21 million for Rafaello. Dude, $21 million! He needs that much money just to get out of the slammer. If he comes up with the moolah, he will be required to do house arrest. Just in the nick of time, Anne. Just in the nick of time. Thank goodness you got out of that relationship!
She definitely got out of the relationship on time. Usmagazine.com is reporting (via Associated Press) that Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend, businessman Rafaello Follieri, has been arrested on charges of wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering. Oh, my. Rafello is accused of falsely telling an investor that he had been appointed as the chief financial officer of the Vatican so he could obtain properties of the Catholic church in the U.S. at a discount to fair market value. Yes, that would definitely get you arrested. Anne reportedly broke up with Rafaello because she didn’t want his legal woes to hurt her career. Um, I think she broke up with him because she realized that he might be…gasp…a liar. It all boils down to that, right? He lied. If he can lie about being the CFO for the Vatican (the Vatican!), then I’m sure she realized that he can probably lie to her. Thank your lucky stars for single-dom, Anne, and keep your head up!

You have to give it up to Anne Hathaway. Not only is she dealing with a break-up, but she has to do all these rounds of press for her new movie, Get Smart. Breaking up with someone is hard enough, but breaking up with someone in the public eye is even tougher. And then, imagine having to deal with a broken heart while you’re doing press…tons of press for your new movie. Well, that’s what our Anne is dealing with these days. I’ve seen her in a couple of TV appearances and she’s all smiles. She’s all smiles because she’s a tough chick and she’s very professional. I like that. Kudos, Anne, and hang in there. You’ll be enjoying single life soon enough.
