No Cash For Bronx Pix?

Brangelina, they’re not. Page Six is reporting that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz want to sell the first photos of baby Bronx Mowgli to the highest bidder—but there isn’t one. A source at a celeb weekly told Page Six:
“Pete and Ashlee have approached every single celebrity magazine with offers to sell their first photos, but nobody wants them. Covers of them tend not to sell well.”
Simpson’s rep denied the report but can’t deny we haven’t seen any cover stories on the baby yet.

Daddy Pete Wentz Explains Baby Name

New daddy Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee SImpson-Wentz raised some eyebrows when they named their newborn son Bronx Mowgli. Wentz called Ryan Seacrest of E! News today to say:
“I feel weird—people have all these ideas of what it means now. I think it’s kind of cool to leave the narrative the way it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever…I don’t think anybody knows the real story of why or how. Not that they couldn’t hazard a fairly accurate guess. We came up with the idea Bronx, we’d been throwing it back and forth a while ago…The Jungle Book is something me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s really cool.”
Let’s hope junior thinks it’s cool.

It’s A Boy For Ashlee And Pete!

After what seems like the world’s longest pregnancy, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz finally gave birth to a boy last night at Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A. The long-awaited little sprout weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 20½ inches. Ashlee and husband Pete Wentz named the kid Bronx Mowgli Wentz but he won’t have to worry about classmates making fun of him because they’ll all have names like Shiloh and Zuma. Ashlee’s rep told E! News last night:
“Proud new parents Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz welcomed new son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, late this evening. Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”
Of course, what they’re really thinking is “Thank God that’s over!”

Ashlee Ready To Induce Labor?

Is the extremely pregnant Ashlee Simpson tired of waiting for for her blessed event to arrive? Big sis Jessica seems to think so. She talked about Ashlee inducing labor Monday on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show:”
“They’re going to have to. It’s already developing really quick.”
Hubby Pete Wentz described his wife as ready to pop two weeks ago so she must really be ready to drop junior by now.

Ashlee’s Hush-Hush Baby Shower

Due-any-minute-now Ashlee Simpson has planned a very private baby shower for tomorrow. A source told Life & Style:
“The location is top-secret. They’ll be sending out an e-mail to all invited guests early Saturday morning. Ashlee was eyeing the Bel-Air Hotel—but no one will know exactly until tomorrow morning.”
If guests don’t get their e-mails by noon, it means she went into labor Friday night!
