Brangelina, they’re not. Page Six is reporting that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz want to sell the first photos of baby Bronx Mowgli to the highest bidder—but there isn’t one. A source at a celeb weekly told Page Six:

“Pete and Ashlee have approached every single celebrity magazine with offers to sell their first photos, but nobody wants them. Covers of them tend not to sell well.” 

Simpson’s rep denied the report but can’t deny we haven’t seen any cover stories on the baby yet.

New daddy Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee SImpson-Wentz raised some eyebrows when they named their newborn son Bronx Mowgli. Wentz called Ryan Seacrest of E! News today to say:

“I feel weird—people have all these ideas of what it means now. I think it’s kind of cool to leave the narrative the way it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever…I don’t think anybody knows the real story of why or how. Not that they couldn’t hazard a fairly accurate guess. We came up with the idea Bronx, we’d been throwing it back and forth a while ago…The Jungle Book is something me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s really cool.”

Let’s hope junior thinks it’s cool.

After what seems like the world’s longest pregnancy, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz finally gave birth to a boy last night at Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A. The long-awaited little sprout weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 20½ inches. Ashlee and husband Pete Wentz named the kid Bronx Mowgli Wentz but he won’t have to worry about classmates making fun of him because they’ll all have names like Shiloh and Zuma. Ashlee’s rep told E! News last night:

“Proud new parents Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz welcomed new son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, late this evening. Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”

Of course, what they’re really thinking is “Thank God that’s over!”

Is the extremely pregnant Ashlee Simpson tired of waiting for for her blessed event to arrive? Big sis Jessica seems to think so. She talked about Ashlee inducing labor Monday on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show:”

“They’re going to have to. It’s already developing really quick.”

Hubby Pete Wentz described his wife as ready to pop two weeks ago so she must really be ready to drop junior by now. 

Due-any-minute-now Ashlee Simpson has planned a very private baby shower for tomorrow. A source told Life & Style:

“The location is top-secret. They’ll be sending out an e-mail to all invited guests early Saturday morning. Ashlee was eyeing the Bel-Air Hotel—but no one will know exactly until tomorrow morning.”

If guests don’t get their e-mails by noon, it means she went into labor Friday night!

Pere Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson are excited about the upcoming birth of their first baby and Wentz says it won’t be long now. Pete told radio host Ryan Seacrest:

“She is at the very end and it could happen at any point now…I think she wants it to be over. She just wants to be not pregnant anymore.”

He added that they haven’t named the little one, or any subsequent kids, yet. 

“I want to meet them first.”

Wentz says his goal is a name that will work for either “a rock star or a senator.”

E! Online is reporting that Ashlee Simpson may be carrying twins. If she is, rest assured her father Papa Simpson is whetting his chops over the price he’ll be able to fetch for those pictures. Man, pregnancy really does a body good, doesn’t it? Our photogs spotted a very voluptuous Ashlee Simpson heading to the Seventh Street Medical Building in Santa Monica yesterday. Okay, so she’s voluptuous because she’s pregnant, but she still looks fabulously curvy. Ash is getting the Christina Aguilera cleavage in her fifth month of pregnancy and I’m sure Pete’s loving it. Word on the street is that Ashlee and Pete are planning to move away from L.A. Pete already put his bachelor pad on the market and they’re now looking for places in New York and Chicago. According to OK! Magazine, Ashlee’s bored of L.A. and would love to move to NYC. Pete would also like to be closer to his family, so they’re also looking in Chicago (his hometown). Well, wherever they end up, I’m sure Papa Joe will be somewhere nearby. Joy.

Expectant couple Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were spotted at the RenMar Studios filming Pete’s MTV show, FNMTV. Ash was there for moral support and to do some co-hosting duties with her man. The couple have been preparing for the birth of their first baby and Pete’s even gotten into reading baby books and getting advice from his dad. “The best advice my dad has given me was, go with your gut. And he said you can’t really have expectations. If I have expectations that he’s going to be a rock star, I’m sure he’ll come out being into sports, and if I have expectations that he’ll be into sports then he’ll be into math or something.” I guess Pete’s dad expected him to be a math teacher, coz’ now he’s a rock star. John Mayer stepped out again yesterday, looking shaved-head delicious after leaving his gym in Hollywood. Okay, I’m definitely diggin’ the new haircut, but I’m definitely not loving these snug workout gear he has on. Who cares, I’m sure Jen is diggin’ them. The Sun newspaper recently reported that expecting rocker couple Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson have asked John to be the godfather of their baby. “Pete and John have been spending a lot of time together lately and they get on so well,” a “friend” of the couple told The Sun. “Pete and Ashlee…think he would make a great godparent.” Well, isn’t that special? Imagine Pete and Ash double dating with John and Jen. Wouldn’t that be classic? Yes, it really would. Well, we’ll be waiting for those photos, for sure. Our photogs spotted Ashlee Simpson heading to Chin Chins restaurant in Studio City yesterday when she suddenly tripped and hurt her toe in the parking garage. Don’t worry, Ash didn’t fall hard or anything and just stubbed her toe. She sent her assistant to a nearby CVS drug store to get medicine for the mini injury and proceeded to Chin Chins and had a meal. It’s still a bit scary though, with Ashlee being pregnant and all, so I’m glad it wasn’t anything serious. Ashlee looked quite adorable in her white sundress and red flip flops, and it looks like she’s having fun with her own style of maternity wear. I tell ya, celebrities these days have made pregnancy into a whole different art form, from the cute outfits to the baby-pics business. Okay, these two are starting to grow on me. The neutral feelings I have for the Wentz’s are slowly turning into a little bit of amusement in seeing a preggy Ashlee canoodling happily with her hubby. Definitely sappiness at its best. Ashlee and Pete were spotted a couple of days ago catching a movie at the ArcLight in Sherman Oaks. The two were intertwined the whole night, with Ash hanging on to her man’s arm throughout the evening. Pete recently told People Magazine that he makes sure he talk to the baby as much as possible. “I talk to our baby all the time,” he stated. “‘The Expectant Father’ tells you that the woman, when she speaks, the baby hears her all the time. Pete Wentz sure knows how to make his pregnant wife happy. He knows that donuts equal a big Ashlee Simpson smile, so he took wifey to get some of the holey treats a couple of days ago at Studio City. Check out Ash’s humongous grin. You know she wants to get into that bag of fried dough as soon as he gets in the car (with an apple juice to wash it all down with, of course). Ashlee, who is said to be due sometime in October, has been taking it easy this summer. She canceled her planned tour, opting instead to rest up until she gives birth. The lady in red last night was Ashlee Simpson and the man next to her, of course, was hubby Pete Wentz. Ashlee went to see a play solo last night in North Hollywood and then met up with her rocker husband for dinner at La Loggia Italian Bistro in Studio City. Pete’s been doing a lot of baby chats lately, and he recently talked to OK! Mag about his pending fatherhood and where he’s learning: “I’m talking to my dad a lot. I’m talking to Ashlee’s dad a lot. We hang out with other people who have kids. You see the world in a different way. It’s exciting.” The couple reportedly got pregnant around Valentine’s Day and they got a tentative due date of October 31, which Pete is supposedly excited about. Well, good times for the Wentz’s! He wasn’t on his way to the gym, but Pete Wentz did opt to sport some sweats on his way to the recording studio in Los Angeles yesterday. Hey, you gotta’ be comfortable when you’re letting your genius come out in song. What’s new in Pete’s world? Well, according to news reports, Pete and Ash are expecting a girl! Reports indicated before that the couple might be having a boy when witnesses claimed they saw Pete and Ash buying everything blue at a baby store, but I guess that witness was mistaken. Ashley and Pete have yet to confirm the baby girl news, of course, but they’ll probably be doing that on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show sometime soon. After all, these two love do love a show.

The pregnant Mrs. Wentz was spotted yesterday at Cafe Med restaurant in West Hollywood. Ashlee took a break from the long dresses and donned a cute striped tank and black pants. Ashlee was spotted lunching at Chili’s (I want my babyback, babyback…) last weekend, so I’m wondering if she’s getting any weird pregnancy cravings. Damn, I just thought of barbecued ribs. Mmmmm. Sorry, had a Homer Simpson moment there. Ashlee, according to Star Magazine, is trying to keep her weight gain to a minimum during her pregnancy by working out six times a week. Geez, she works out more than a lot of folks who aren’t even preggy. The story claims that Ash has already gained 20 pounds and she wants to make sure she doesn’t gain more than 35 lbs throughout the pregnancy. Jenny McCarthy and honey Jim Carrey took a nice walk on the beach in Malibu. So romantic, aren’t they? And Jenny’s looking hot in that bathing suit…

Later that day, Lance took his son to a medical building in Beverly Hills. I was told that girlfriend Kate Hudson (not pictured) dropped the duo off and picked them up. Yeah, they’re definitely in couple-dom now.

Pete Wentz and his missus Ashlee went to a friend’s BBQ in the Hollywood Hills to celebrate the fourth. They even took their adorable pup with them. Hope they gave that dog a bone or something to chew on.

Ashlee’s looking super happy and it looks like she’s enjoying pregnancy. After the med office, Ash and Pete stopped by a nearby liquor store because Ashlee was craving a drumstick ice cream. Well, it was hot yesterday. It’s being reported that Ash is going to have herself a little boy, after a witness spied the couple buying a bunch of blue baby things at Petit Tresor. Ashlee had to cancel her summer tour because of the pregnancy, so she’s going to be taking it easy through the summer. That also means more pics of her in the tabloids because she’ll be out and about being photographed in the next couple of months. I guess that’s good news for Ashlee Simpson fans. Our photogs spotted Ashlee Simpson sporting her now very visible baby bump yesterday in Beverly Hills. Doesn’t she look like she could be in that movie, The Village? Ah, that was a great movie. Anyway, the soon-to-be mommy glowed (literally) in her long orange (peach? melon?) dress and sandals. Very hippie-ish, indeed. Word on blog-osphere is that Ms. Ashlee is having a little boy. Ash and Pete were (reportedly) recently at Petit Tresor, the celeb world’s favorite baby store. The couple were witnessed ONLY buying blue baby items. Yeah, you would think that meant they’re having a baby boy, but you never know. The daddy-to-be does wear eyeliner, so I wouldn’t put it past them to dress a baby girl in blue. Just thinking out loud. Or maybe they ARE having a baby boy. Who knows! We definitely won’t get the deets until the baby shower is covered by one of the gossip rags in the next few months, so until then, we’re all just speculating. Fun. Times.
