Ashley Olsen and beau Justin Bartha gtabbed coffee and pastries at the old Country Mart before going back to his home in Hollywood, CA. That sacky top is not flattering, Ashley.

PETA is at it again, using famous names to get attention for their already over-hyped “cause.” They’ve named their Worst-Dressed Celebrities of 2009, and the six “winners” are Madonna, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kanye West, Elizabeth Hurley and PETA’s favorite objects of scorn, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Stealing their material from Mr. Blackwell, PETA said of the Material Matron, “When you see Madonna in fur, you realize why nobody has copied her style since 1984. We know that she’s on the prowl for a young cub, but someone needs to tell Madge that wearing fur doesn’t make you a cougar.”

As usual, their worst barbs were saved for the Olsens. “Since fur adds 20 years and 20 pounds, maybe Mary-Kate and Ashley think their matronly wardrobe will deflect the gossip about bulimia. Somewhere, someone is missing a matching pair of Bigfoot bobblehead dolls.”

Ouch! So when they’re not ragging on celebs, what does PETA actually do for animals? Their silly campaign to stop us from eating fish by naming them “Sea Kittens” just made me think, “Yum! Kittens of the Sea.”

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen made a rare joint public appearance last night at Borders bookstore in Westwood, CA,to sign copies of their coffee-table book “Influence” and attracted a large crowd of fans. They also attracted several protesters from PETA carrying signs saying “Trollsens: Fur Hags From Hell” and “Hairy-Kate and Trashley Olsen: Fur Tramps. PETA has been targeting the twins over their frequent public appearances in fur and animal skins, like the dead rat jacket Mary-Kate wears in the photo here.

I seriously doubt PETA will convince the twins to lay off the skins but then, I doubt they can really write a book.

“Contrary to several tabloid reports, Ashley Olsen is not engaged to be married. Ashley is dating Justin Bartha and they are very happy.”

At least we don’t have to see what kind of hideous bridesmaid dress Mary Kate would wear. Not yet anyway.

No, I’m not calling Ashley (or Mary Kate) Olsen prune face. That would just be mean. And just in case you were wondering, Ashley’s the top pic and Mary Kate is below. I think. Your guess is as good as mine. Okay, back to prunes. Well, according to OK! magazine and their “source”, the Olsens get their signature grins by saying the word prune before each photo. I tried this technique and although I wasn’t looking in the mirror, I didn’t feel a smile when I said prune. I know what I would get if I ate prunes, though, and it wouldn’t be a smile. But that’s another story. Oh, and to help you tell them apart, the source had this tip – Mary-Kate has slightly thinner lips and more of a playful grin, while Ashley tends to go for a full-on pout. Yeah, I looked at the pictures again and still can’t tell. Oh, well, I’ll try again next time.

Let’s just pretend there are two of them in this picture. They’re identical, so it works. The NY Post is reporting that the Olsen twins are annoying their West Village neighbors in New York. “The bodyguards in their SUVs are always getting in the way of our alternate-side parking routine,” said one resident of the 100 block on West 13th Street. “You’d think the president was living here.” The twins left another Manhattan apartment at One Morton Square because it was already overly exposed. And from the sound of things, this new address is not going to be too much of a secret, either. Oh, well.

Ashley Olsen’s friends are a bit worried about her new dude. Well, they’re not officially together, so let’s not the jump the gun. Still, their worries are understandable. Ashley’s been linked to National Treasure actor Justin Bartha recently and folks close to Ash are warning her of his past not-so-gentlemanly behavior. I guess Justin’s basically a douche, according to the NY Post story. A ’source’ close to Justin said that he’s gotten a little psycho-y with his ex-girlfriend . He was reportedly upset over his ex, model Lydia Hearst, being photographed. He got mad because his MODEL girlfriend was being PHOTOGRAPHED too much? Okay then! He was also reportedly very upset when Lydia broke up with him and he even yelled at her at an Oscar party last year after the split. He sounds like such a winner. And now he’s being linked to Ashley, who’s never photographed, by the way. Never. Listen Ash, if your friends don’t like him, there must be something to it. Friends can always tell if the guy you’re dating is an arse way before you can. Take their word for it and run.

All that couture is hiding your assets, Ashley. Who knew the Olsen twins were giving JLo a run for her money? Our photog caught up with Ashley entering a Beverly Hills office today. I guess even a diet of coffee and water can do wonders. I didn’t know Ashley (and we assume Mary Kate) were so voluptuous. Check out the last picture below. Either Ash has been doing a lot of squats or bootie just runs in the family. Okay, so voluptuous may be stretching it, but at least homegirl’s not looking so stick thin anymore. And there are no more eating disorder stories circling about. Wait, was that Ash or her twin? Hmm, either way, at least the twins are eating.

Seriously, where do these lovely young starlets learn how to drive? We already know about the DUI problem, but how about the annoying little things that they shouldn’t be doing during normal business hours? Check out Mary Kate Olsen for example. In the picture above she’s being picked up by her twin, Ashley, after a shopping excursion. Maybe Mary Kate needed to buy something quick at CVS drugstore (doubt it), so Ashley had to do a drive-by to pick her up. Usually, though, shopping drive-by’s involve your driver buddy just waiting at the curb. In this case, though, Ashley decided to take up a whole left lane of a busy street. Interesting. Okay then. They probably figured if Britney can get away with such driving madness, then they can go unnoticed doing this. Hmm, good point. Alright Olsen twins, carry on with what you were doing.

Ashley Trollson, er, I mean Olsen visited Beverly Nails in Beverly Hills today to get some work done. I had assumed that she got her nails done but after taking a closer look her hands and feet, I think Ashley might have gotten herself some Microdermabrasion from the look of her mug. Normally, the twins won’t venture into the sun without over-sized clothes and makeup. Judge for yourselves, here’s a closeup of her toes below. PETA doesn’t like fur. The Olsen Twins like fur. So naturally, PETA has been on a collision course with the Olsen twins for some time and it’s finally come to a head with PETA’s online trash campaign against the thin twins. PETA started up the Meet The Trollsen Twins campaign at the Hollywood and Highland complex today with the objective of convincing The Trollsens, I mean Olsen Twins to stop wearing and using fur in their clothing line. PETA’s creative I’d Rather Go Naked anti-fur campaigns in the past have included photographs of celebrities such as Eva Mendes and Christina Applegate wearing nothing but the skin God gave them. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of PETA but only because I already don’t agree with the use of fur, but I do wear leather, so I’m torn.
