A new book is coming out about superstar couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie—and it does not put the gorgeous actress in the most flattering light. US Weekly takes a look inside “Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie,” and reveals some scandalous tidbits.

Author Ian Halperin claims that Jolie, along with manager Geyer Kosinski and brother James Haven, planted stories in the press painting Brad’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston as a cold career woman who refused to give her husband the children he craved. Halperin writes that Angie “was convinced that this is the story that would resonate with all these women who saw her as a man-stealing bitch.”

Well, the ploy seems to have worked, since Jen has been forced to answer those rumors since they started in 2005.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may have the best-looking kids in the world, but according to the UK Sun, they’re not the best behaved. The paper reports that while the beautiful pair attended the BAFTA awards in London, their tribe was wreaking havoc on the normally sedate Dorchester Hotel.

Brad and Angie booked almost an entire floor of their brood, but it apparently wasn’t enough space to contain the noise of four out-of-control kids. One guest complained: 

“They were running up and down the hallway for over an hour. Their nanny tried to quieten them down and move them out the way when people came through. But she had her hands full with the four of them.”

Only one nanny? Can’t they afford one for every child? That poor nanny will really have her hands full when the twins start to walk in a few months.

That’s what he claims, anyway. Brad Pitt was one of six Oscar-nominated actors to take part in this year’s Newsweek Oscar Roundtable and answered some not especially hard-hitting questions.

“Do any of you guys ever Google yourself?”
Pitt answered, “Dear God. No.” He added, “First of all, I don’t really know how to operate a computer.” He did own up to having a Blackberry. 

Are we really supposed to believe this? Don’t you just know he has a shiny little Apple laptop tucked away where the kids can’t find it? He also bemoaned the media interest in his personal life.

“This publicity machine is out of control. It’s everything we didn’t sign up for. There’s this whole other entity that you get sucked into. You have to go and sell your wares. It’s something I never made my peace with. Somehow you’re not supporting your film if you don’t get out on a show and talk about your personal life. It has nothing to do with why I do this.”

Well, maybe if you hadn’t cheated on your wife with your costar, people wouldn’t be so interested in your “personal life.”

Brad Pitt got a taste of what’s ahead of him when he played a man who was born old but keeps getting younger in “The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.” But in real life, the 45-year-old actor is more worried about dying than getting old. At the Berlin  premiere of the film, he told Reuters:

“I’m not so afraid of getting old, I’m more afraid of how I’ll go. Fire and tight spaces don’t appeal. A shark would be interesting.” 

Ouch! Interesting but kinda gory. Brad in a remake of “Jaws?”

Ever the gentleman, Brad Pitt has nice things to say about his both baby mama Angelina Jolie and ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. On the subject of Angie, he told W magazine for their February issue :

“She’s not a homewrecker. What people don’t understand is that we filmed ['Mr. & Mrs. Smith'] for a year. We were still filming after Jen [Aniston] and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful.”

He also praised his ex, who has called his onset coupling with Angie “uncool.”

“Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created. We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don’t see how there cannot be [that]. That’s life, man. That’s life.” 

Well, it’s his life and it’s a whole lot more interesting than ours.

Maybe Quentin Tarantino’s highly-anticipated World War II epic, the oddly named “Inglourious Basterds,” isn’t that anticipated after all. The Weinstein Company and Universal Pictures have given the film, which stars Brad Pitt, the ignominious release date of August 21, 2009. The dog days of summer are where studios generally dump films they don’t really want to release and expect to bomb. 

Tarantino and Pitt can probably put off making room on their mantels for another award.

While the December 29 issue of Star magazine claims that superstar couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have already hammered out a $200 million pre-nuptial agreement, the actress’ rep has denied it, telling Us Weekly.com, “There is no truth to any of these claims.” 

Yeah, and PR people never lie. If these two don’t have a pre-nup yet, they’ll have one by the time they finally get married. They’d be crazy not to with all that money and all those kids. But Hollywood couples have been crazy before.

That’s what Brad Pitt tells Hello! magazine in a new interview. 

“I’ve been dragging them all from continent to continent lately, so we’re going to have to give them a break soon. For the long term, right now, we’re choosing France. It’s good living there, a really nice way of life. It’s a place where the kids can run free and not be hassled—we have a good relationship with the locals, and it’s a good base for the family.”

Does this mean the always-restless Jolie-Pitt family will put down roots instead of living like gypsies? We’ll have to wait and see.

Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie headed down the aisle soon? Pitt seemed amenable to the idea when he talked to the “Today” show’s Ann Curry in an interview about his Make It Right Foundation project in New Orleans.

“If we feel it’s important to our kids, we would..I’m really proud of this family. I look at my sons and daughters. … I feel rich being around them. Each one offers so much to the mix.”

Since they have six kids so far, it’s nice they’re thinking in that direction but I don’t think we should be expecting those shower invitations yet.

Another day, another Brangelina pregnancy rumor. First In Touch claims Angelina is harboring a bun in her oven because she refused a drink in London. Then Life & Style questioned whether she was “three months along.” But her rep, Geyer Kosinski, has told US magazine that the rumors are “not true” and that  the actress is scheduled to start shooting the action film “Edwin A. Salt”  in February.

Brad Pitt has only himself to blame for the baby rumors since he told Oprah last week that the couple would “probably” be adding to the family. He said, “It’s the greatest endeavor I’ve ever taken on. Why stop now?”

But maybe he didn’t mean this soon.

The NY Times has a very interesting article about the lengths Angelina Jolie has gone to in order to remake her image from Bisexual Wild Thing to Mother Theresa. The Times reports that Jolie demands a guarantee of positive coverage—now and in the future—from the magazines she deals with. Jolie and Brad Pitt negotiated a deal with Peopler for photos of their newborn twins and an interview which reportedly gave the stars not only $14 million but control over how the couple was portrayed in the magazine. While the deal was probably worth it for People since the issue with their twins on the cover was the magazine’s best-seller in seven years, it does make you wonder how much of what you read in celebrity rags is bought and paid for.

Brad Pitt taped an appearance on “Oprah” to shill for his new movie but of course, what the big O really wanted to talk about was Angie and the kids. Pitt said that one of their major challenges was just hauling the brood around.

“It’s like a half-an-hour just to get everyone buckled in and make sure they’ve got their snacks, and Z.Z. [Zahara, 3] has got a blanket and Shiloh’s got her silky. Angie’s militant about it. She’s right on top of it. Thank God, because I’m always forgetting something.”

Pitt also said 2 1/2-year-old Shiloh wanted to be called “John” or “Peter.” Wait a few years and you’ll wish she was still a tomboy when her looks have all the guys hanging around.

Looks like Camp Brangelina is not happy with spurned wife Jennifer Aniston’s comments that stealing her man was “uncool.” Chicago Sun-TImes columnist Bill Zwecker reports that Brad Pitt, no doubt egged on by his baby momma Angelina Jolie, called Aniston to complain about her statements to Vogue. A source said the couple thought she had already “moved on…and wouldn’t want to reopen this old wound.” Get a clue, you two. Some things are pretty hard to forgive and forget.

After four years of maintaining her silence about the breakup of her marriage to Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston finally lashes out at man-stealer Angelina Jolie in the December issue of Vogue.

“What Angelina did was very uncool.”

Meow! Does this mean we can expect more dirty details from this superstar divorce? We can always hope!

A Hollywood security guard is probably standing in the unemployment line today after mistakenly grabbing Brad Pitt at a screening of his new film “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” Pitt arrived a half hour early for the screening at the Bruin Theater and posed patiently for photographers. One of them reported to People magazine:

“Brad didn’t seem to mind having his picture taken and he instead seemed excited for the preview and was smiling. While the theater security tried to push all the photographers out of the theater, one of the security guards accidentally grabbed Brad by the arm really hard.”

Ouch! Looks like it’s not safe to go to your own movie these days.

The three-month-old twins of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are growing up fast. At the DVD release party for “Kung Fu Panda” this weekend in L.A., she told Us magazine:

“They are starting to get very smiley and they are at those months where their personalities really start to shine.”

Considering that they’re going to grow up looking like their gorgeous parents, those kids have plenty to smile about!

Brad Pitt is said to be working on an adaptation of Homer’s “The Odyssey”, but that’s not the big news here. This won’t be your run of the mill epic, but rather a futuristic space-aged version. Yep, you heard me right. They are taking this story to outer space. I don’t know how exactly it’ll pan out but if they can manage to squeeze in a shirtless scene of Brad somewhere in there then I’ll have gotten my money’s worth.

He’s also working on another literary adaptation, based on the book “Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game”. In this film he plays Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane and it follows his tactics for leading the team to a 22 game winning streak. I’m not a huge fan of sports at all but for some reason films about sports always get me interested. There’s usually a combination of deceit, despair, triumph, and some heroic feat. Can’t wait to see what our man Brad has in store for us.
