Britney Spears was back in court today, amid rumors that this would be the day she won her release from the conservatorship that has run her life for the last two years. Alas, the only news to come from today’s hearing was that the singer has received permission to donate the dress she wore to the 2008 MTV Awards to be auctioned off to benefit the relief efforts in Haiti.
According to TMZ, Jamie Spears remains in the driver’s seat when it comes to his daughter’s legal and financial affairs. Britney is also allowed to “dispose” of other items she no longer needs. Jeez, does she need the court’s OK to have a garage sale or take out the trash?
