Post-Lawyer Brit Looks Happy

We have even more photos of that lawyer visit Britney Spears had a few days ago with her family. Brit, who was accompanied by Jamie and Lynne Spears, as well as her two sons, reportedly visited a lawyer’s office in Bel-Air to get advice on how she can get permission to allow her sons to leave out of state with her. Britney would like Sean Preston and Jayden James to meet their new cousin Maddie and she’ll need special permission to do so. Remember, Brit has obtained more time with her boys after her custody settlement a couple of weeks ago, but Kevin maintains sole custody of the kids. Hopefully Brit gets to take her kiddies to Lousiana and from the looks of these pictures, it looks like they had a great meeting at the attorney’s office. Britney Wants Sons To Meet Maddie

Our photogs got pictures of Britney Spears, along with her two sons and parents, visiting a powerful Beverly Hills laywer in Bel Air, CA this afternoon. Sources tell us that the family is in the works to get the two boys permission to leave town with Britney to see sister Jamie Lynn and have the boys meet their cousin Maddie Briann. Brit and ex-husband Kevin Federline just settled their custody issues two weeks ago, with Britney getting more visitation time with her kids, but Kevin maintaining sole custody. Let’s hope Brit gets the chance to take her boys to see their new cousin.
Britney Going Back To VMA’s

Britty-Brit is going to be back on MTV’s Video Music Awards, y’all. Okay, so she’s not confirmed to perform yet, but it looks like it’s getting close to happening. E! News’s Marc Malkin is reporting today that Brit will appear in a television promo for this year’s VMAs. She shot the spot earlier this week at the Paramount lot in Hollywood with first-time host, British comedian Russell Brand, one of the stars of this year’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall. “It was mostly ad-libbed, with Russell asking her for advice about hosting the show,” a source told E!. “There’s also a 9,000-pound elephant in it, as in ‘the elephant in the room.’ ” Interesting. Britney is nominated for two VMAs, so there’s still a chance she’ll be tapped to perform. The awards show will be aired on September 7, live from the Paramount lot.
Britney To Play Lesbian Killer?

Rumor has it that Britney Spears is going to be starring in a new Quentin Tarantino film. The Telegraph is reporting that the “Toxic” singer was apparently chosen by the Pulp Fiction director to play dancer Varla in a remake of Russ Meyer’s 1965 cult film Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! Well, now. The film is about three thrill-seeking strippers encountering a young couple in the desert. Spears’ character murders the boyfriend with her bare hands before taking the girlfriend hostage. Brit’s character will also have sex scenes with another girl before the drama ends in a blood-bath. How do you like that? Tarantino, sources say, really wants Britney for the role. “Quentin is convinced Britney will be brilliant. She’s delighted. She thinks it could turn her career around,” the source commented.”It is perfect Tarantino material. He wanted to get Britney first. She’s playing the most important character.” Well, we will have to wait and see if Brit (and her people) think the character is so important, she has to play it.

The California Department of Public Health released a very disturbing report on Monday regarding celebrity-record peeking at the UCLA Medical Center. The report found that more than 120 workers looked at celebrities’ medical records and other personal information without permission between January 2004 and June 2006 - nearly double the number initially reported earlier this year. The report also indicated that three staffers at the UCLA Medical Center continued to look at the confidential records of a “well-known individual” after a crackdown in April. The state report didn’t release the name of that celebrity, but it is widely known that Britney spent some time at UCLA earlier this year and her records were peeked at (without permission) by many of the hospital’s employees. State regulators blame the hospital for not taking adequate steps to maintain patient confidentiality. Hospital officials said computer systems have been updated to block complete Social Security numbers and that staff is being trained on privacy and security, according to the Huffingtonpost.com.
