Chris Wishes Rihanna Would Shut Up

Chris Brown has spent the last eight months trying to sweep his vicious beating of ex-GF Rihanna under the rug, so it’s no surprise he’s not happy that she’s all over the press and TV this week, telling her story. Tonight, Brown goes on MTV to tell his side, which will probably involve how he’s good to his momma and goes to church on Sunday.
Late Friday afternoon, following two appearances by Rihanna on “Good Morning America,” Brown released his own statement to MTV, as reported by People. “I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best.” Uh, no, Chris—it doesn’t work that way. When you beat someone so badly that they have to go to the hospital, that’s not “private” anymore.
Brown’s statement continued, I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.”
Yeah, let’s drag Him into this. Too little, too late, Chris. Hope you enjoyed your career while you had it, because it’s gonna all be over after Rihanna reveals the dirty details of what you did to her on “20/20” tonight.

Sarah Michelle’s Happy She Waited To Be A Mom

Sarah Michelle Gellar is a first-time mom at the age of 32, and she’s glad she waited this long. The actress told People, “Becoming a parent is the most selfless act, and you need to be at a point in your life where you can give up anything and everything for a child. I don’t know if you know how to that when you’re in your 20s.”
Husband Freddie Prinze Jr. agrees, adding “I’m so happy we didn’t have kids in our 20s – I just didn’t know a thing. You have so much more patience in your 30s, and I feel like I appreciate this so much more.”
Little Charlotte Grace arrived on Sept. 19, and her mom is obviously besotted by their bundle of joy. “Every day I look at her and I am in awe.”

Kim And Reggie Are House Hunting

They’ve had their ups and downs as a couple, but it looks like Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush are serious this time around. E! reports both are selling their pads so they can buy a new love nest together!
While Kim’s condo has been on the market for a while, now her beau’s crib is also up for sale—for $5.1 million. A source blabbed to E!, “They are looking for a bigger place to live together.” Bigger than Reggie’s four bed-five bath mansion? That will be some major piece of real estate!

Is Ashlee Headed For A Breakdown?

It’s no surprise that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz isn’t happy about being booted off “Melrose Place,” but the singer/actress has other problems to worry about. The National Enquirer claims Ashlee is on the verge of a nervous breakdown!
On the axing from “Melrose,” a source told the Enquirer, “Ashlee didn’t see it coming, and now she’s crushed. She invested her heart and soul into the job. She feels like the rug has been pulled out from under her.” But that’s not all. The source added, “She is struggling to hold her marriage together, dealing with motherhood and practically starving herself to look good…She was desperate to establish herself as a serious actress, but now she’s worried that she’s failing.”
In addition to her career woes, Ashlee and rocker husband Pete Wentz are having marriage problems. Pete was out partying when Ashlee got the bad news about “Melrose,” and has been less than supportive of her career. Maybe it’s time for Ashlee to take some time off and just be a full-time mom to little Bronx.

Rihanna Opens Up About Abuse

Eight months after her savage beating at the hands of boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna has finally spoken out about her long journey to healing. In an interview with Diane Sawyer, which aired on “Good Morning America” today, the pop star admitted she had initially been reluctant to discuss the abuse, but finally had a revelation that she must address the issue because she is such a role model for teen girls.
“When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I couldn’t be responsible for that. Even if Chris never hit me again, who’s to say their boyfriend won’t? Who’s to say they won’t kill these girls? I didn’t realize how much of an impact I had on these girls’ lives until that happened.”
The most shocking part of the interview was Rihanna’s admission that she went back to Brown after the beating, and it took several attempts before she finally found the strength to break it off. “It’s pretty easy to go back. You start lying to yourself. The physical wounds go away. You want this thing to go away. This is a memory you don’t want to ever have again.” Rihanna will tell more about the Brown incident on Friday night’s “20/20.” Including explicit details of the beating.
