The guys of Wisteria Lane have returned for another season. Kyle MacLachlan and onscreen wife Marcia Cross took shade under an umbrella as they strolled across the set of “Desperate Housewives” as the show filmed on location in Hollywood. CA. Also back in action is Ricardo Chavira as Gabby’s long-suffering hubby Carlos. This should be an especially interesting season, with Mike’s mystery wedding, Gabby back to her diva ways and the addition of “Sopranos” star Drea de Matteo.

It was like the first day of school on the set of “Desperate Housewives,” as old cast members greeted each other and welcomed newcomers. Present and accounted for on location in Hollywood were Eva Longoria Parker, Felicity Huffman, Doug Savant and Drea de Matteo.

Nice Day For A “Desperate” Wedding

So who’s the bride? Isn’t bigamy illegal? “Desperate Housewives” seems to be keeping us guessing!
In the show’s last season finale, we found out Mike Delfino would tie the knot with some lucky lady. What we didn’t learn was whether his bride would be ex-wife Susan, played by Teri Hatcher, or Dana Delany’s Katherine.
On the show’s Hollywood set, both actresses wore white, but since this is “Desperate Housewives,” they could be shooting a real wedding, a dream sequence, or a flashback from the past. I just hope they solve this riddle before November sweeps.

Drea’s A “Desperate Housewife”

A taste of Italian spice is coming to Wisteria Lane this fall, as a new family moves in.
Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly broke the news this afternoon that Emmy-winning “Sopranos” actress Drea de Matteo will join the cast of “Desperate Housewives” this fall as the matriarch of an Italian family that also includes “her landscape designer husband and their tightly wound son.”
With Edie Britt gone, the series could definitely use a new vamp on the block, and Drea certainly fills the bill. While the actress has never been a “housewife” in real life, she became engaged to longtime BF Shooter Jennings earlier this month, when he proposed to her onstage during a show in Utica, NY. The couple have an 18-month-old daughter named Alabama Gypsyrose.
I’m a huge fan of “Housewives,” and Drea is one of my favorite actresses, so I’m totally looking forward to the new season. Especially after the vast wasteland this summer’s TV is turning out to be.
