Ethan Marries The Nanny

They’ve both moved on, folks. A couple of weeks ago, Uma Thurman announced her engagement to businessman Arpad Busson and seemed extremely happy. Her ex, Ethan Hawke, meanwhile, has taken up a new wife. And not just any wife, mind you. He married his girlfriend (and former nanny) Ryan Shawhughes three weeks ago. Yes, three weeks ago, but his rep is only releasing the info now. Ethan and Uma have two kids together, Maya, 10, and son Levon, 6. Meanwhile, Ethan and Ryan are expecting their first child together (a baby girl!). Congratulations to Ethan and Ryan. Let’s hope no other nanny gets in their way.

Wedding Bells For Ethan

Uma Thurman’s ex, Ethan Hawke, is tying the knot. Ethan and girlfriend, Ryan Shawhughes, were seen at the Municipal Building in downtown Manhattan applying for a marriage license yesterday. Ryan, who is currently pregnant, was the nanny to Ethan and Uma’s children. Ryan has long denied she had anything to do with Uma and Ethan’s divorce. She reportedly contacted Ethan a year after his split with Uma to confess her feelings. Uma and Ethan were married in 1998 and divorced in 2004. They have two children together. Congrats to Ethan!

On Location: New York, I Love You

Our hard working and probably cold NY paps spotted Ethan Hawke and Maggie Q on the set of New York, I Love You. I had no idea who Maggie Q was, so I googled her. Still no luck finding anything I’ve seen her in that I’m familiar with, so let’s just move on. Okay, I’m not the biggest Ethan Hawke fan, but he is in two movies I love to death: Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. Please tell me you’ve seen those movies. They’re lovely! I just read an article on New York Magazine recently which told the story of Ethan doing an impromptu acoustic performance at some open-mic spot and he sang about Uma Thurman. Okay, he didn’t sing her name, but it was about her, and it wasn’t a very nice song. Hmm. Anyway, maybe he’s still bitter over their divorce. Who knows! He is looking much better, though, so I’ll end it with that positive comment.
