Ladies Who Lunch

My younger sister in Atlanta who reads our blogs was wondering if the only thing celebrities do all day is go to lunch and shop. Well, of course, I told her. Case in point - Eva Longoria. We found the Desperate Housewives star going to lunch with some pals at Cafe Med in West Hollywood the other day. Granted, I’m sure Eva was taking a break from filming, so let’s cut her some slack. Eva was sporting her #9 locket, for her hubby Tony Parker. Tony’s team, the San Antonio Spurs, beat the Phoenix Suns last night to move on to the next round of the playoffs. Our photogs found Mrs. Tony Parker and a friend shopping in Beverly Hills this weekend. Look how tiny Eva’s feet are (pic below). It’s always funny to see celebs in person because they’re usually much shorter and smaller than you’d imagine. Eva’s Desperate Housewives is back on the air with new episodes, so that’s good news for those who missed Wisteria Lane and its ladies during the writers’ strike. Her hubby’s team, the San Antonio Spurs, lost to our Los Angeles Lakers today, but Eva called Geico and saved money on her car insurance. So we all win.

Word on the street is that the two met up at Eva Longoria’s new restaurant, Beso, and had a few more things than the food. An onlooker told the New York Post that the two were sitting super close together and that Jen was giving Orlando googly eyes. Yes, I just wrote googly eyes. Orlando is said to be dating model Miranda Kerr, but she was nowhere to be found. Hmm, could this be true? Jen snagging Orlando wouldn’t be such a bad catch. He’s pretty hot and he’s not opposed to wearing tights. Yeah, just work with me on the tights thing. Anyway, check out the video of Jen and Orlando at Beso and let us know what you think. You know a girl has to keep busy in between filming Desperate Housewives and missing a hubby who’s always out of town. Eva Longoria bypassed learning how to knit and just decided to open a new restaurant. The photogs were working late last night and they found Ms. Eva at her new hotspot, Beso, in Hollywood. Beso is Spanish for ‘kiss’, by the way, in case y’all were wondering. Eva’s been plagued with pregnancy rumors lately, but she’s denying it. I guess there won’t be a little mini-Parker anytime soon. Eva’s also been seen around town with new BFF Victoria Beckham. She even accompanied Vicks and her son at a shopping expedition last week. Anyway, hope the food is good at your eatery, Eva!
Posh And Eva Shop The Day Away

Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria had a little shopping spree in Beverly Hills yesterday and Victoria’s son Romeo came along for the ride. The trio first lunched with Katie Holmes at the Beverly Hills Hotel but Katie decided to go home rather than deal with the inevitable paparazzi throng. And you know when the paparazzi gather in Beverly Hills, there’s bound to be some casualties, like in the two pictures below. Check out Romeo laughing at the two paps who were laid out after failing to step onto the curb while walking backwards. This job can be dangerous.
