Luscious Latina Eva Mendes is obviously one of the hottest leading ladies around but now it’s official. Online men’s magazine AskMen.com has named her their most desirable woman of 2009. More than 10 million readers cast votes for the women with the qualities they looked for in the ideal girlfriend or wife.
Also placing were actress Megan Fox at second, Victoria’s Secret model Marisa Miller in third place, Keeley Hazell in fourth and Anne Hathaway fifth.

It Was For A Role…

…sure it was. Star Magazine is reporting that Eva Mendes’ stay at Utah’s Cirque Lodge in January was for an upcoming role. Yes, a role. The magazine is stating that Eva is slated to play a drug lord in the upcoming movie, Queen, so she checked in to the rehab facility for research. When it was first reported that she checked into rehab, Eva’s people said that she was in there “attending to some personal issues.” Hey, a film role could be considered a personal issue. Some of these actor take their roles seriously. Yup. I can totally believe this story. Totally.

Eva Enters Rehab

This news was definitely a surprise for me. Pagesix.com is reporting that actress Eva Mendes has entered rehab. She checked into Utah’s Cirque Lodge Treatment Center, where Lindsay Lohan also spent some time last year. Eva’s rep announced that she is in rehab for “personal issues.” That’s a really vague statement, obviously to sway the media away from the real reason why Eva’s in rehab. There are many different reasons one enters rehab, of course. She could be dealing with an eating disorder or alcoholism, or even gambling addiction. I’m not stating that these are the reasons why Eva’s in rehab, but maybe she just needs rest. Her rep did state that the issues she’s dealing with were not critical, but Eva thought outside professional help would be required. Well, whatever she’s in there for, at least she made the decision to get some help. We wish you the best, Eva.

Eva Says No To Fur

Eva Mendes didn’t want to be chastised by the folks who hate fur, just as the Olsen twins were last week, so she did something about it. She posed in her birthday suit for PETA. Y’all know what PETA is by now – the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals – and they don’t want you or your mama wearing fur. And in solidarity, Eva Mendes doesn’t want you wearing fur either, so there. We caught the gorgeous Eva last night at the unveiling of her PETA poster in Beverly Hills. Hollywood goes back and forth with the fur thing. There are definitely some celebrities who are adamant about banning fur from their wardrobes, but there are still many who love to wear dead animals on their bodies. Eva grew up in Los Angeles, though, so it’s not like homegirl needed to wear fur during winter. It’s not like she has to go through a 12-step program to cut off fur from her life. Don’t get me wrong, PETA’s still a noble cause to support and I’m glad Eva is very vocal about her views.
