Halle Settles Down In Canada

American actress Halle Berry recently purchased a house in Canada with her baby daddy and model Gabriel Aubry. Its a million dollar home that sits on 63 acres of land and faces Molson Lake in St. Hippolyte, Quebec. Too bad we couldn’t see that nice chunk of change go into the much needed American economy but its nice to know that these two are settling in together in Aubry’s homeland. Now they’ll be just like every other multimillionaire families just trying to raise a baby.
Halle Berry: Sexiest Woman Alive

At least according to Esquire Magazine and you won’t find many around here that’ll argue with that. At 42, Halle teased Esquire about voting her ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ now rather than when she was a Bond Girl or when ‘Monster’s Ball’ came out. Halle’s ‘acceptance speech’ is full of interesting nuggets of information, which I’ll highlight below:
“Sexiness is also about knowing what’s sexy to you. To me, spaghetti is sexy, especially when it’s served off the tips of a man’s fingers. I like that. And I think wine is sexy, just before sex. It relaxes me. But if I want to get a serious groove on — if I want an out-of-body experience — I’m all about the sloe-gin fizz.”
Then you have these gems:
“You know that stuff they say about a woman being responsible for her own orgasms? That’s all true. And in my case, that makes me responsible for pretty damned good orgasms these days.”
“I’ll tell you this: I’ve learned my tricks. I know what I like. I do not wait around. I initiate. And I’m not all about frequency. I favor intensity.”

F**k It, Don’t Vote!
Wednesday, October 1st, 2008A very funny PSA from A-list celebrities on the value of voting in this years coming election who realistically, probably don’t themselves. I know Leo doesn’t vote because he’s too afraid he’ll be photographed at the polls! But hey, who’s not interested in being pounded over the head with a message by people much richer, more powerful and more beautiful than you? Sarah Silverman and Jonah Hill are the highlights, even though Jonah’s been losing some weight, he’s still pretty funny.

We can pretty much assume that 2008 would probably count as Halle Berry’s favorite year thus far. Yes, her Oscar win in 2002 may have made that quite a special time, but nothing beats the moment you give birth to your child. Halle welcomed her first baby, Nahla Ariela Aubry, on March. The picture above was taken maybe a month ago, so it’s pretty safe to assume that the 42 year-old is doing okay getting her pre-baby weight back. Oh, and yes, she does turn 42 today. Halle Says No To Public Baby Pics

If you were wondering which celebrity magazine cover baby Nahla Ariela Aubry will be gracing soon, the answer is: none. According to a recent Associated Press story, Halle Berry was very upset when pictures of her holding baby Nahla showed up in the internet and two celebrity rags. Halle said that a paparazzi photographer (they weren’t JFX photogs, btw) went too far to get a shot of the actress holding her infant daughter, trespassing onto her private property and snapping them hanging out in the backyard. Halle is pursuing criminal charges against the photographer and is seeking to get the photos removed from the Web. She released this statement to AP: “I have long since come to terms with the fact that choosing a career as an actress has made me a public figure, but my baby has made no such choice, and unless and until she does, I will do everything I can … to keep her out of the public eye.” Well, here’s one celebrity who’s not going to be selling pictures of her child. Kind of refreshing, isn’t it? I do have more photos of Halle visiting a friend in Studio City yesterday, after the jump. They’re Nahla-free, but still just as interesting. Check them out.
