It looks like there will be a vacancy at the new “Melrose Place.” Heather Locklear will not be moving in.

US reports that the former Amanda Woodward has turned down a part on the upcoming CW soaper, despite being actively courted by the producers. The likely problem is, not surprisingly, money. The actress has been rumored to be holding out for $100,000 an episode, and the producers just don’t have the budget to meet her price.

Too bad. The cast so far sounds as exciting as lukewarm milk, and they could use a feisty cougar like Heather to spice things up.

Maybe—Star reports that divorced parents Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear were looking more like a a dating couple during their daughter Ava’s soccer game last week. The pair drove to the game in one car and sat closely together. A source told Star, “At one point, she gave him a neck massage.”

Another souce staed, “They still care about each other and are flirting with the possibility of getting back together.”

Since Heather’s relationship with fiancé seems to be stalled, Richie may see the chance to swoop in and get his family back together!

Heather Locklear can start 2009 with a fresh start since her DUI case has been dismissed. TMZ reports that  Locklear’s legal eagle Blair Berk appeared in Santa Barbara court this morning to have the actress plead no contest to reckless driving, a misdemeanor. The “Melrose Place” star got off with three years informal probation, a $700 fine, and a 12-hour drug education course.

I hope this will be a wake-up call for Heather—she might not get off as easy next time.

Heather Locklear has finally been formally charged one one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs nearly two months after her arrest September 27. Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter told E! News that that “no alcohol or illegal narcotics of any kind” were found in her system at the time of her bust. He added:

“It was prescription medications only…For privacy reasons I cannot say which prescriptions they were…If you are taking a prescription medication and it affects you such that you are no longer safe to operate a motor vehicle, you could be violating the law. It’s an individual thing.” 

Locklear will be arraigned January 26. When will people realize that legal drugs can get you into just as much trouble as illegal ones?

It’s been over a month since Heather Locklear was arrested in Montecito, CA, on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance but so far, no charges have been filed against the actress. The Santa Barbara D.A.’s office is still reviewing the case so it looks like Heather will have to wait a bit longer to find out whether she faces any charges for the incident.

I’m sure so much goes through a persons mind when they’re aressted that the last thing they’re concerned with is how their mugshot is going to come out. Remember Nick Nolte’s mugshot? Instant classic. Pap’s are always getting hauled off by the cops but are rarely booked, so personally speaking, I’ve never had a mugshot taken. But if I ever do, I hope it my mugshot comes out much better than they way Heather Locklear’s did. Heather was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of prescription medication in Santa Barbara over the weekend. She’s looks dazed beyond normal the normal arrest trauma. Relax, there won’t be any salary outbursts going on here and the CW is not planning to do a combo pack of Aaron Spelling’s old dramas. But it has been reported that the Melrose Place cast will reunite. No, they’re not going to meet up at Black Angus for catch up. The crew, according to E! News, is going to be reunited at this year’s Emmy Awards. The Emmys is celebrating it’s 60th year and rumor has it producers are planning to feature TV reunions galore. Besides Melrose Place, the Happy Days cast have reportedly been approached also. It would be great to see Heather Locklear and the gang back together again, even for just one night. Make it happen, Emmys! The 60th Annual Emmy Awards will be televised live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on September 21 on ABC. Maybe you’ll get to see Potsie.

It’s great to hear that Heather Locklear is back home after spending four weeks at the Sierra Tucson rehab facility in Arizona. As we reported before, Heather checked herself in the facility to deal with anxiety and depression issues. Sources are saying, however, that there might have also been prescription drug issues that needed addressing as well. What was Heather like while in rehab? Well, according to someone in the clinic, the actress “couldn’t have been warmer or more approachable. There was no diva behavior. She was totally genuine, down-to-earth and warm.” Heather received a couple of visits from boyfriend Jack Wagner while she was at Sierra Tucson, and ex-hubby Richie Sambora reportedly called her everyday. But if it was any inspiration that gave Heather strength to get better, it was her daughter Ava, 10. “She knew that little girl was back home waiting for her,” the source said, “and she talked about her constantly.” Well, it’s good to hear Heather’s back home and we’re hoping she’s doing a lot better.

Heather Locklear checked into an Arizona facility this morning to treat her battle with anxiety and depression, according to People magazine. Heather’s publicist released this statement today: “Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment. This is a confidential medical matter and no further statement will be released.” Heather reportedly started taking medication after her divorce from Richie Sambora in 2006. Stress from the divorce, along with a former friend’s (yes, Denise Richards) betrayal  and Richie’s DUI arrest on March (his and Heather’s daughter Ava was in the car), have all gotten the best of Heather and she decided to seek help. Heather Locklear seems like a tough woman and I know she’ll come out of this better than ever. I know a lot of her fans are rooting for her and we all wish her the absolute best. Hang in there, Heather!

Where the hell was she?!?! Heather still looks stunning, doesn’t she? She’s definitely aging very gracefully at 46 years old. I can’t believe she’s 46, either! Next up for Heather is a new film, Flirting With 40, about a woman who goes to Hawaii after a divorce. She ends up falling in-love with her surfing instructor. It’s a romantic comedy, I’m assuming. Many were surprised to hear about Heather Locklear’s rumored 911 call this weekend. I was really shocked and followed the story a bit to make sure she’s okay. TMZ is reporting that the caller was actually Heather’s psychiatrist after he talked to her Saturday night. I guess he was concerned because she didn’t sound too good. He was afraid she’d overdose on her meds (for depression). When the cops arrived at her house, she was fine and they left. Well, now everyone know Heather Locklear is depressed. That is definitely one drawback to being a celeb – your ailments are public property. Ah, let’s just hope Heather’s doing well.
