Hilary’s A “Gossip Girl”

Former Disney starlet Hilary Duff has taken another step in forging a grown-up career—she’s landed a guest-star gig on the next season of “Gossip Girl.”
The AP quotes a spokesperson for the CW series, who reveals Duff will play ”a movie star looking for a typical college experience.” Duff’s character, Olivia Burke, will enroll at New York University and wind up rooming with Jessica Szohr’s character, Vanessa.
It sounds like a pretty contrived plotline, but since that’s what Brooke Shields and Jodie Foster did in real life, maybe it will work for Duff.

Hilary’s No Bonnie Lass

Remakes of classic films are never as good as the original, but Hollywood keeps churning them out anyway. The Chicago Sun-Times states the latest great film in line to get butchered is the Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway drama ”Bonnie & Clyde.” Unknown director Tonya S. Holly plans to direct ”The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,” based on her screenplay, and neither Beatty nor Dunaway approves.
If this doesn’t sound bad enough, former Disney starlet Hilary Duff will play Bonnie Parker. With her usual sharp tongue, Dunaway snapped, ”Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?”
Wonder who they’ll cast as Clyde? Ashton Kutcher?

Former Disney princess Hilary Duff is now 21 and looking very grownup on the cover of Maxim magazine’s “Young Hot Hollywood” issue. Duff poses for some sexy shots and sets the record straight about some statements that have been made about her:
“You know what? I was quoted saying I was a virgin, but I absolutely did not say that…That’s nobody’s business but my own. Somehow it turned into a bad thing!..I’ve been accused by the press of giving lap dances at clubs. I mean, little ol’ me? It’s shocking.”
What is it about tween stars that launches so many wild fantasies? It would probably take a psychiatrist to guess.

Variety reports that former Disney starlet Hilary Duff has been signed by NBC to star in her own series as well as guest star on other shows for the network. This follows a failed pilot for CBS in 2004. Looks like Hilary’s career peaked with “Lizzie McGuire.” Let this be a lesson to Miley, Selena and Demi—save your money, girls.

Hair, Hair, Hilary’s Hair

Our photogs spotted a very camera-shy Hilary Duff leaving the Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills. Homegirl got her hair did and it looks absolutely flirty and fabulous. I don’t really know what flirty hair is supposed to look like, but this has to come close. Hilary’s going to be doing her rounds of press junkets soon because her new animated movie, Foodfight!, is coming out next month. Hil will be doing the voice for one of the main characters, Sunshine Goodness. Yes, her name is Sunshine Goodness. Fitting, isn’t it?
