Jamie Lynn Spears has been out of the spotlight for a while now, back in Ole Miss raising daughter Maddie. But she may be reappearing soon with a brand new career—as a country singer.

E! reports a source close to the Spears clan stating that Britney’s younger sis ”has been quietly working on a country album since last fall.” Another insider says Team Spears has been “trying to get Jamie Lynn a record deal.”

In today’s country market, she shouldn’t have much trouble getting signed. The labels are hunting for photogenic young acts who will look hot in videos—ability to write songs and/or sing optional. Most of all, they’re looking for another Taylor Swift—a beautiful blonde teen who can appeal to the tween girl market and cross over to pop. Jamie Lynn could be just what they’re looking for.

The new issue of the Star is reporting that Jamie Lynn Spears underwent liposuction early in her pregnancy with daughter Maddie—before she even knew she was expecting. The teen had just finished her hit Nickelodeon show “Zoey 101″
when she began to gain weight and begged mom Lynne to let have liposuction. A source told the Star:

“She didn’t know she was pregnant when she filled out the health questionnaire prior to the procedure. Her mom approved the injections and went through tons of red tape to get the clinic to administer them to an underage patient.”

Doctors say this could be bad for an unborn baby. Plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Burton told the Star:

“Any form of liposuction is dangerous and should not be performed on a pregnant woman,” plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Burton tells Star. “It poses serious health risks to the fetus.”

 Jamie Lynn seems to have lucked out because Maddie’s a healthy little girl.

A Wal Mart employee has allegedly stolen 12 personal pictures of Jaime Lynn and family from a Wal Mart in Louisiana. Jaime Lynn’s boyfriend Casey Aldridge dropped off a memory card to have some pictures developed and now those pictures have been offered for sale. The pictures include Jamie Lynn, Maddie and Casey. Jamie Lynn is supposedly breast feeding Maddie, exposing her breast to the camera. This is the part that has stirred up the hornets with federal officials, since Jamie Lynn is underage, trafficking in child pornography is a tad bit illegal.

Just as her older sis graces the cover of another magazine, Jamie Lynn Spears’ sad face is plastered on the cover of the current In Touch Weekly. The new mom, the publication reports, is being cheated on by her babydaddy, Casey Aldridge. In an exclusive interview, a woman has come forward to talk about her relationship with Casey. Twenty-eight year old Kelli Dawson tells the magazine that she and Casey were romantically involved and sleeping together when Jamie Lynn was six months pregnant with his child. And, according to Kelli, they are still connected: “I see him all the time, at least once a week,” she said. And the cheating couple aren’t keeping their affair a secret, according to another source. “Kelli and Casey have been a couple on and of for a few years,” confirmed Jason Alexander (Brit’s ex-hubby for a few minutes). I guess they all know each other in Kentwood. Ah, poor Jamie Lynn. It seems the Spears sisters share the same bad luck with their men.

Jamie Lynn Spears is on the cover of the current OK! Magazine issue and she’s supposedly racing to the altar. The magazine states that the new mom will be marrying fiance and babydaddy Casey Aldridge before the end of the year. The couple is said to be marrying at Jamie Lynn’s new digs in Liberty, MS, which is just thirty minutes from her mom’s Kentwood, LA home. “She loves everything about the area where she lives. She’s not going to get married at some luxury resort in the Caribbean or a hotel in Beverly Hills,” a friend of JL’s told OK!. “Her own backyard with just the people who matter most is more Jamie Lynn’s style.” Older sis Britney is going to be the maid of honor, of course, and Casey’s sister is said to be one of the bridesmaids. Looks like Brit will be traveling back home South once again in the next few months. Good luck with the wedding plans, Jamie Lynn! Let’s hope she doesn’t turn into a Bridezilla.

If you were wondering what Britney’s new niece looked like, you’re in luck. Brit’s little sis, Jamie Lynn Spears, made sure she wasn’t left out of the celebrity-baby-magazine-cover club. Yeah, you don’t want to be left out of that club. JL is in the new issue of OK! Magazine holding baby Maddie. JL gave birth on June 19, with family (including older sis Brit) by her side. She is staying put in Louisiana for now with fiance Casey Aldridge and she’s thankful for it. “Around here, everyone has the same focus,” Jamie Lynn tells OK!. “The focus is family, and that’s a good way to live.” Whatever is best for baby Maddie!

I guess the National Enquirer had the right source. It’s official – Jamie Lynn Spears is a new mommy! Good times! Jamie Lynn gave birth this morning to a healthy baby girl, which they named Maddie. That’s actually a really cute name. Maddie weighed in at 7 lbs., 11 ounces. Britney left for Louisiana yesterday with daddy Spears to be by Jamie Lynn’s side. I bet they’re all ecstatic right now. New babies always bring families together. Now Sean Preston and Jayden James have a little cousin to play with! A big congrats to Jamie Lynn and Casey! We’ll just wait and see what’s next for Jamie Lynn. Is she coming back to Hollywood or staying put in Louisiana. For now, I’m sure all she’s thinking about is her baby girl.

Is Jamie Lynn Spears ready to pop? Well, according to the National Enquirer (yes, that credible news source), she’s being induced and will be giving birth in the next 24-48 hours. The Enquirer is claiming that Jamie Lynn had an ultra sound last week which indicated her baby may be in breech position, thus warranting the quick delivery. Thank goodness JL will at least have her older sis by her side. Britney and dad Jamie left for Kentwood this morning to be by Jamie Lynn’s side. It’s a family affair, y’all! Here’s to a safe delivery for Jamie Lynn.

The Associated Press is reporting that a photographer who’s been accused of stalking Jamie Lynn Spears and fiance Casey Aldridge was arrested Tuesday in the small town of Liberty, Mississipi, near the Lousiana border. Authorities said that Edwin Merino (who is based in Los Angeles) wouldn’t leave Jame and Casey alone. Edwin told the AP that he was actually 200 feet away from the couple using a long lens in a gas station when he got arrested. He’s due to appear in court next week. Edwin also told AP that he was probably singled out because he was the only photographer working on Jamie Lynn and Casey during the four days he was in Liberty. This makes sense, since I’m sure they’re not used to seeing too many paparazzis in small town U.S.A. Jamie Lynn’s about to pop any minute now, so there will be more photogs heading over to where she is. Better let the townspeople know, JL.

The Spears clan is going to have a new baby girl joining them in the summer. Jamie Lynn Spears just announced that she’s having a little girl. Jamie Lynn was accompanied by mom Lynne to the doc’s office when she found out. Good times for them. Life & Style Magazine is also reporting that Britney is headed back to Louisiana today just in time for JL’s baby shower tomorrow. Britney hasn’t been to Kentwood since 2006. The baby shower will be held at their mama’s house and our little Jamie Lynn is due in June to welcome a summer baby.

It’s one pop star’s sister giving another pop star’s sister some advice. Or you can say it’s one teen mother giving a fellow (future) young mom some tips. Solange Knowles all too well about being a famous teen mom. Beyonce’s sister was just getting her career started when she got pregnant at eighteen. She welcomed son Daniel in 2004. Solange, who talked to Us Magazine, has this message to Jamie Lynn: “You just have to make the best decisions for you,” Knowles said. “You have to decide what’s best for you.” I think Jamie Lynn’s pretty much decided what’s best for her, which is to go back to Lousiana and stay away from Hollywood while she’s preggy. It’s probably the best thing she could’ve done. And with older sis needing their parents’ attention the last couple of months, JL has been doing pretty well on her own back home in Kentwood. Jamie Lynn is due in July.

I guess a big congratulations goes out to Jamie Lynn Spears, whom People.com is reporting as newly engaged. Congrats, Jamie Lynn! According to People, Jamie’s been flashing around a very nice engagement ring around town (Kentwood, LA) and telling folks she’s engaged. Casey Aldridge, her soon to be baby’s daddy, is now her fiance. The two are expecting their baby in the summer, but there’s no news on a wedding date yet. One thing at a time, children. I guess Zoey is not getting suspended or expelled from school. Zoey 101, Jamie Lynn Spears’ show on Nickelodeon, had its season four premiere last Sunday. It was reported that the family friendly network was axing the show after Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy announcement in December, but this was not the case . The show finished filming its fourth season last summer, so by the time Jamie Lynn announced she was expecting, there were episodes ready to air. Jamie Lynn has been quiet since her announcement, going back home to Lousiana with mom Lynne to stay away from all the hoopla here in Hollywood. It’s not certain if boyfriend and baby daddy Casey Aldridge is with her in Lousiana. There have been rumors that she suffered a miscarriage due to her partying too much, but I honestly doubt that’s true. I think after seeing what’s going on with her sister’s custody issues, Jamie Lynn, or at least her mom, probably want to make sure any other Spears baby coming will be alright.

Rumors swirled recently that Jamie Lynn was rushed to the hospital due to complications with her pregnancy. There have also been rumors recently that her boyfriend and baby’s daddy, Casey Aldridge, dumped her. They are still together, her reps also confirm. Poor girl. Her older sister’s not much of a role model these days and now she has to go through her own set of media scrutiny. Her Nickeloden show, Zoey 101, has already been cancelled. Jamie Lynn is back home in Kentwood, Lousiana with her mother. It’s probably best she remain there until the baby is born, just to avoid all the hoopla going on in Hollywood. Maybe Britney should join them in Lousiana, too, but I doubt that’ll happen. So there you go, folks. Jamie Lynn, like the rest of Hollywood, is still pregnant. I wish her a healthy pregnancy.

With all the attention being showered to her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears’ pregnancy news has been shoved in the back burner. Unfortunately, the Nickelodeon bosses haven’t forgotten. Jamie Lynn, who is only sixteen years old, announced that she was pregnant last month by longtime boyfriend Casey Aldridge. She starred in the popular Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101. The network initially fully backed Jamie Lynn during her announcement, but they’ve changed their course. Nickelodeon thought it was best to cancel the show instead of airing the fourth and final season because airing it “could send out the wrong message.” Well, as I reported earlier, Jamie Lynn and mom Lynne are on their way back home to Lousiana. Maybe a much needed break is just what this family needs. We’ll see you in nine months, Jamie Lynn.

Wow – what a crazy beginning of the year Lynne Spears has already had. She just ended 2007 with news of her 16 year old daughter announcing her pregnancy, and now this. Britney is still at Cedar Sinai Medical Center and it’s been noted that she’s in contact with her mom. Lynne hasn’t been present in Britney’s life the last few months after the singer cut off ties with her family. I’m sure after Jamie Lynne made her announcement two weeks ago, Britney and Lynne probably had a chance to talk. It’s unfortunate that their reunion would be cut off by another sad event. People.com is reporting that Lynne and Jamie Lynn are now enroute to Kentwood, Lousiana, their hometown. It’s probably best that they head off to where they most feel comfortable and be with people they’ve known for a long time. Maybe Britney could also use some hometown hibernation after her stint at Cedar Sinai. Home is where the heart is, as they say. It’s probably best that Brit resolves some of her issues of the heart closer to her real home. We’ll keep you posted for more updates.

Oh my goodness, will it ever end for the Spears family? Star Magazine is reporting that Casey Aldridge might not be the father of Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby after all. Are you serious? And get this – the magazine states that the family thinks it could be an older man – someone much older than Casey – who impregnated Jamie Lynn. This mystery man is thought to be someone who works in the Zoey 101 set. I don’t know if this is really true, but I’m sure there are a lot of questions swirling around both Casey and Jamie’s heads right about now. They’re both probably pretty confused about this whole damn thing. Until they have solid proof that it was another (much older) man who’s the babydaddy, I’m going to keep assuming it’s Casey’s child. And if in fact there was an older man who took advantage of young Jamie Lynn, then he should be castrated. There you go. We’ll keep you posted on this story.

I was as shocked as everyone when I found out yesterday that 16 year-old Jamie Lynn Spears (Brit’s younger sis and Zoey 101 star) is pregnant. And now this? When will the surprises end? I hope this is just bad gossip and Jamie and Casey Aldridge (the babydaddy) are still together. Then again, she’s 16 and he’s 19 years old. Can we really expect them to get super serious, even with baby in tow, at this day and age? It’s not like Mama Lyn can do much more, as she’s watching her other famous daughter deal with custody issues. It’s definitely been a defining year for the Spears family and I’m sure they’re just waiting for the new one to begin. And if this story is true and Jamie Lynn and Casey aren’t dating anymore, so what? The only thing they can expect from Casey is his future support of and for the child, right?
