Dad Spears’ Conservatorship Extended

Britney’s going to be spending a lot of time with her daddy until summertime. Jamie Spears’ conservatorship has been extended until July 31st, reports Eonline.com. Per court order, Jamie was also allowed to get a weekly stipend and lease a car. L.A. Superior Court Commisioner Reva Goetz held an impromptu hearing regarding the conservatorship yesterday. Brit’s been doing well under her dad’s car and has gotten to see her sons a few times since. It might be a good idea for him to stick around a bit longer to make sure she’s well for the long run. Although she disagreed with the ruling before, it’s been noted that Brit’s getting along with her dad now and she’s getting used to the situation.
Daddy Spears Still In Control

As I told you all yesterday, Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears, was going back to court today regarding the state of his conservatorship over Britney’s assets. Well, he did attend the court session today and the judge ordered to extend his conservatorship until March 10, the date of the next hearing. According to TMZ.com, the judge also asked that Britney undergo a 730 evaluation. A 730 evaluation can be described as an in-depth study and investigation of the “family, it’s members, and/or prospective members” and their relationship with the children. Britney will need to have this completed by the next hearing. We’ll definitely keep you posted for more updates.
Brit’s Dad Back In Court Tomorrow

Papa Spears is due back in court tomorrow morning. Yes, it does seem like someone in the Britney camp is always due in court for something or other. And they always reschedule the court date, don’t they? Anyway, Jamie Spears will be in court tomorrow when the status of his conservatorship over Britney will be reviewed. Brit’s been doing pretty well since she left UCLA Medical Center, but I think it’s a good idea that her dad’s around more. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out if he retains his conservatorship. We’ll keep y’all updated, as always.
Spears Family Lawyers In Court

Lawyers for Jaime Spears and co-conservator Andrew Wallet are in a Los Angeles court at this very moment arguing for more power in the conservatorship order they have over Britney Spears. Yesterday, Britney tried to obtain new counsel to fight the conservatorhip but was denied by the courts. Apparently, Jaime feels that with more power, incidents like yesterdays crazy follow can be avoided.
Update: Spears Clan Want Rights To Brit’s Treatment

Update: Jamie Spears has been granted conservatorship today. He will have control over Britney’s medical treatment and her entire estate. Pagesix.com also reported that he was awarded a civil restraining order against someone, but it wasn’t announced who the unlucky receipient is. Sam, maybe? More updates to follow.
Lynne and Jamie Spears, Brit’s parents, have gone to court today to request a conservatorship over their daughter’s medical treatment. Lynne and Jamie, though divorced, have been working side by side in hopes of helping their troubled daughter. The court has the power to grant a conservatorship to the Spears’ and if approved, would allow Lynne and Jamie the right to make decisions on behalf of Britney regarding her treatment. Brit’s still at the UCLA Medical Center, where she is going through a mandatory 72-hour evaluation. If given the conservatorship, Brit’s parents can decide if she needs more hospitalization. The conservatorship, I also just found out, gives Lynne and Jamie the rights to Brit’s financial affairs. I definitely would rather have her parents retain control of her medical and financial affairs than Sam. Brit needs her family now and it’s a good thing they’re stepping up to help her. Just look at the pictures of both parents. Jamie (below) looks like he’s been crying for days and mom, Lynne, looks exhausted and worried. But at least they’re around, so that’s what matters. I’ll give y’all updates if the Spears were granted conservatorship as soon as I get word.
