Janet Blames Doc For Michael’s Death

Ever since the sudden death of superstar Michael Jackson in June, those closest to him have been blaming the doctors who treated him in his final days. Now in a shocking interview, his sister Janet has singled out one person she holds responsible for killing Michael.
The AP reports that an interview with Janet will air on ABC News Wednesday in which she states that Dr. Conrad Murray should not be allowed to practice medicine, adding, “He was the one that was administering. I think he is responsible.” Murray has admitted to police that he administered a powerful anesthetic to the star before Jackson died June 25, and the doctor may face prosecution for his death.
Janet is still having problems accepting that her brother is gone. “It just didn’t ring true to me. It felt like a dream. It’s still so difficult for me to believe.”

The past few weeks have been very rough for Janet Jackson, as she continues to mourn the sudden death of her brother Michael. But now, it’s been revealed that she also has a broken romance to deal with.
Janet’s longtime boyfriend, music-exec Jermaine Dupri, was conspicuously absent from Michael Jackson’s memorial service and funeral. Now a source has dished to Us Weekly, ”His friends are telling people it’s over.”
What caused the split? A mutual friend stated, “You shouldn’t mix business with pleasure. Janet felt their lives were too crossed and they should have kept things separate.”
We hope Janet can find a good man to console her at this difficult time, when she must be feeling very much alone.

Jacko’s Concerts Hijacked?

Michael Jackson’s London comeback may not happen—but his legal bills are liekly to keep going forever.
According to Reuters, a concert promoter plans to file a suit stopping Jacko’s sold-out gig, claiming he signed a contract with the singer’s manager last year agreeing to a July 2010 show with the Jackson Five and sister Janet. Under the contract, Jacko may not make another appearance until that Jackson Family reunion show.
Where was this promoter when Jacko’s London concert series was announced? And did his manager conveniently “forget” signing that contract just six months ago? Bubbles the chimp could run Jackson’s affairs better than the team he has now.

Janet Finds Another Excuse Not To Tour

Janet Jackson’s ill-fated “Rock Witchu” world tour should have been named the “Won’t Rock Witchu Right Now” tour since she’s scrapped more dates than she’s kept. E! reports that the Japanese leg of her tour has been cancelled, with promoters blaming “the global credit crunch.” This follows cancelled dates in North America in 2008, which Jackson blamed on “vertigo.”
Maybe it’s time to face up to the fact that Jackson’s over the hill as a touring artist. Her albums aren’t selling, her concert tickets aren’t selling and she shouldn’t expect to fill the kind of venues she did 20 years ago. But the Jackson family has never been noted for facing up to reality.

Janet’s Man Canned?

AllHipHop.com reports that Janet Jackson’s longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri has been fired from his position as President of Island Records Urban Music. The Atlanta-based producer has held the job for nearly two years, and oversaw the label’s entire urban music operations, reporting directly to label Chairman Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Steve Bartells, President of Island Music and COO of the Island Def Jam Music Group.
Given the label’s success under Dupri with Mariah Carey’s ”The Emancipation of Mimi,” there has to be a story behind this.
