On Location: My Sister’s Keeper

Our photogs were also on location at the My Sister’s Keeper set today. They spotted Jason Patric and Sofia Vassilieva taking breaks from filming. Cameron Diaz was absent from the set today and filming was halted last week after Cameron found out her dad suddenly died. Regarding My Sister’s Keeper, the film is about a young girl who wants to be emancipated from her parents after learning that she was only concieved to save her ill sister’s life. Sofia plays the sick sister and Abigail Breslin is set to play her sibling. The movie’s based on a Jodi Picault book. It should be a great role for Cameron, who plays Sofia and Abigail’s mom in the movie.

OK, so it’s not her new man but we did catch Cam planting a big fat one on her ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ co-star Jason Patric today. Cameron and Jason were filming a scene with co-stars Sofia Vassilieva on a Southern California beach today when we snapped the photos above and below. Cameron’s admitted to some recent boy craziness the last couple weeks and she was rumored to be canoodling with Scottish actor Gerard Butler. Since the only other Scot I know is Ground’s Keeper Willy, I’ll have to assume Gerard won’t be happy to see these pictures! And if you didn’t already know, Dakota Fanning was rumored to have passed on the role that Sofia Vassilieva is portraying because she refused to shave her head. What a diva that Dakota Fanning is.
