Katherine Is An Angel For Dogs

25 adorable little dogs are on their way to new homes in time for Christmas, thanks to the generosity of big-hearted actress Katherine Heigl. The Chihuahuas faced being euthanized due to a surplus of the tiny dogs in Califirnia, but Kinder Rescue in L.A. joined forces with the Humane Society for Greater Nashua of New Hampshire (HSGN) to airlift the tiny canines from Hollywood to the northeast.
They lacked the funds to transport the dogs, but then the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, which was founded in honor of the “Grey’s Anatomy” star’s late brother, came through with $25,000 to fly the pups from the West Coast to their new homes. Kudos to Katherine and her organization for giving the dogs and their new owners a happy holiday!
