Why is Katherine Heigl looking so glum on the set of her movie, The Ugly Truth? Maybe her mom didn’t like the Mother’s Day gift Kath got her. That’s what gift receipts are for, mom. Maybe Katherine’s been getting a lot of flack from reports that she’s leaving Grey’s Anatomy soon. It’s doubtful she’ll be able to get out of her contract, so maybe that’s what’s making her so blue. Wait, I know what it is. She forgot her freakin’ cigarettes in the trailer and she won’t have time to get it before the next take. Bah! That would make any smoker growl. I would give you one of my Parliament Lights if I could, my dear Katherine. I really would.
Leaving The Hospital?

Is Izzie leaving Seattle Grace Hospital? Well, according to MSNBC.com, Katherine Heigl is itching to get out of the show. Just weeks after airing new episodes, sources are saying that the 27 Dresses star has had enough. “She’s working really long hours and is ready to move on,” a close source to the actress said. Katherine renegotiated her contract with the show just a year and a half ago and got a raise. So, even if she wanted to leave the show right now, she wouldn’t be able to due to the contract. Katherine’s had a lot of success in the movies with Knocked Up and 27 Dresses, but I think she should stay on the show for another full season. Not everyone’s on a hit show, so just milk the momentum, Kath!

Our photogs spotted Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler on the set of their movie, The Ugly Truth. Katherine arrived at the set accompanied by her husband, Josh Kelley. He brought his guitar along because while she films, he writes songs. Okay, I’m not sure he really does that, but it would be a very productive way to spend his day while he waits for Kath. Anyway, The Ugly Truth is a comedy about a romantically challenged morning show producer (Katherine) who is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent (Gerard) to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love. Sounds riveting, I know. It’ll be out on theaters next April.
The Ugly Sniffles

You remember King Leonidas from ‘300′ dontcha? Well, here he is fighting off some raging sniffles on the set of The Ugly Truth which is shooting here in sunny and smoky Southern California. Everyone’s allergies seem to be acting up because of the raging Sierra Madre fire, which is coating So Cal with ash and smoke for miles in every direction. Or perhaps he’s just been standing too close to Katherine Heigl, who smokes like, well Katherine Heigl (that’s just how much she smokes, I can only compare her to herself). Anyway, here’s the IMDB synopsis of The Ugly Truth:
A romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent (Butler) to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love. His clever ploys, however, lead to an unexpected result…
Sounds a bit like the Hugh Jackman, Ahsley Judd movie ‘Someone Like You…’ which I confess to having seen a couple times. But only to make a point of course. In that movie, Judd has an underwear scene where she performs a cheer from her high school days. So it makes me wonder what kind of underwear scene we’ll be seeing Katherine do in this flick. Katherine Back To Work

Our photogs spotted Katherine Heigl driving into the studio for work in Hollywood yesterday. The Greys Anatomy star was looking casual and relaxed. And, as always, she had a cigarette in her hand. I thought she was supposed to be quitting after her wedding, as I read in a story a while back, but I guess that didn’t pan out. I’m a smoker, so I know she’s loving and hating that cigarette at the same time. I just read another story recently about Katherine’s old crush on co-star and BFF T.R. Knight. I guess when they were filming the pilot for the show, she was feeling him. Needless to say, he didn’t feel the same way about her (or any other woman for that matter) and now they’re best of friends. Good times to all!
