Why Katie Isn’t Reading This
Thursday, December 4th, 2008
Hollywood power couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes get his-n-hers covers on this weekend’s T Magazine in the Sunday New York Times. Katie does the usual babbling about how much she loves Tom and how much money they spend on Suri (she has her own home gym) but also tells how she stays sane in a crazy business.
“I don’t go online. I don’t read about myself. I can’t. I know that if something really horrible happens, someone will tell me about it. I would get too upset and overwhelmed if I read or looked at what’s out there. And I have too much to do. I’m a mom and an actress with a play to do every night. I can’t pay attention to all that noise.”
Well, that’s one way to avoid the lousy reviews for Tom’s new movie.
Suri Wears The Pants In The Family
Monday, November 24th, 2008
Tom Cruise went on “Entertainment Tonight” last week to shill his holiday turkey “Valkyrie,” which is set to flop nationwide the day after Christmas. Nobody really wants to talk about the movie, so of course Cruise had to relate the latest adventures of daughter Suri, Forbes magazine’s most overexposed tot. Dad says she’s a “girlie girl. She won’t wear pants.” When mommy Katie Holmes tried jeans on Suri. “We put the pants on and walk away and the pants are off and the dress is on.”
Sounds like Suri’s going to be a lot of fun when she’s a teenager.
Nicole Wants Katie To Give Connor A Brother
Friday, November 7th, 2008
Connor Cruise, the adopted son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, has two baby sisters but wants a little brother—and Nicole thinks Tom’s current wife Katie Holmes should step up to the plate. In the latest issue of Glamour magazine, Nicole said:
“[Connor] would like one of us to have a boy. He wants that boy. Katie?”
Nice thought, Nic, but do we really want to see these two breed again?
Katie Does OK on B’Way
Friday, October 17th, 2008
Katie Holmes opened on Broadway tonight in the Arthur Miller play “All My Sons” and seems to have survived the evening without forgetting her lines or falling off the stage. Both the Chicago Tribune and showbiz bible Variety said she didn’t “embarrass herself,” which sounds like faint praise at best. Husband Tom was a no-show, avoiding the 35 members of the anti-Scientology group Anonymous brandishing “Free Katie” signs. “All My Sons” is currently the highest-grossing show on Broadway, which will hopefully help us forget about “Mad Money.” If we haven’t already.
Video: Katie And Tom’s High Tech GPS
Thursday, July 17th, 2008The Cruise’s have the most advanced fleet of SUV’s you can ever imagine carting them around Los Angeles. They’re stocked with the highest security precautions, cameras mounted on the rear, privacy curtains, and all the electronic gadgets you can ask for…except one. Surprisingly, Tom and company go about business the old-skool way, as you will see in this video. It’s sort of charming, actually, in that “I still pay for groceries with my personal check and two forms of ID” kind of way. Know what I mean, Vern? Anyway, check the video out for yourself. Mapquest ain’t got nothin’ on Tom and Katie.
