Eva Honors Her Mane Man

Eva Longoria Parker devotes many hours of her time to charitable causes, and the ones which aid children are closest to her heart. Next week, The “Desperate Housewives” star will be co-hosting Padres Contra el Cancer’s ninth annual El Sueño de Esperanza fundraiser with old pal George Lopez, and among those being honored is her hair stylist Ken Paves.
Eva told E!’s Marc Malkin why Paves is so deserving. “Kenny’s done a lot regarding children with cancer. He’s made wigs, and donated wigs, makeovers and his time. He’s really done a lot and he’s done it for free. People just see him as this celebrity hairstylist who gets to work with beautiful women. He’s so much more than that.” Kudos to Eva and Ken for using their fame to help kids in need!

Jess Washes Paves Out Of Her Hair

Is the longtime love affair over between Jessica Simpson and her hair stylist Ken Paves?
According to Page Six, in the past Simpson has insisted that Paves do her hair for all major photo shoots, even though some magazines don’t want to work with him. Why not? Well, there’s his devotion to the dated Texas “big hair” look, and his high fees for all that teasing. The discount store clip-in hair extensions probably don’t help his prestige, either. But Jessica has always been adamant about having Paves style her locks.
So it was something of a surprise to see that famed stylist Oribe did Jess for her Vanity Fair cover shoot. Her rep said, “[Photographer] Mario Testino insisted on his team, and we agreed. Mario is a genius. The photos are gorgeous and transformative.”
Does this mean there’s a new image —and a new stylist—in Jessica’s future?

Jessica’s Night Out

Our photogs spotted the very colorfully-dressed Jessica Simpson hanging out with her BFF/hair stylist, Ken Paves, last night. The duo were first seen heading to Pier 59 Studios West in Santa Monica and then trekked to celeb-friendly Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills afterwards. Jessica is still dating quarterback Tony Romo, and she even visited him at the Cowboys training camp in Oxnard, CA a couple of weeks ago. I wonder how Jessica’s going to feel when she reads the September issue of Allure Magazine, in which Carrie Underwood (Tony’s ex) mentioned that the QB still calls her on occasion. “The phone will ring and it’ll be him, and I’ll maybe not answer,” said the singer of the Dallas Cowboys quarterback. She did explain that their relationship wasn’t serious and added: “We were both small town people doing very big things, and we relied on each other, dealing with fame.” So maybe they’re just good friends. Well, let’s hope Jessica won’t be too upset about that little quote. She hasn’t had the best of luck with men and it would be nice to see her and Tony work out.
