Kevin Federline took GF Victoria Prince along when he went out to a Mac store in Canoga Park, CA to buy himself a fresh battery for his laptop. The couple then headed to Target and bought lots of toys for Kevin’s boys Sean and Jayden before making their last stop at Ralphs supermarket in Northridge, CA, to stock up on groceries.

He’s too out of shape to dance and nobody bought his rap album, so Britney Spears’ ex and babydaddy Kevin Federline has set his sights on a new “career.” In Vegas for the Project trade show, K-Fed told W that he was planning to launch a children’s clothing line, and has spoken with Gerard Guez about a licensing deal.

“It’s a really tough business, I’m trying to take it seriously and make a quality product for kids but not have parents pay like $500 or something ridiculous for a pair of jeans. You buy your kids a pair of True Religions then they roll around in the dirt like kids do and a $200 pair of jeans is gone. With this economy, I’m looking to do something much more reasonable.”

Something even unemployed dads who live off their ex-wives can afford? Has he really bought his kids True Religion jeans when they’d be just as happy with the ones from Walmart? What’s he going to “design?” Baggy baby pants for junior pimps?

While rumors have been floating around that Britney Spears’ ex Kevin Federline would be joining the new season of the hit series “Dancing with the Stars,” his rep has denied them. He told Hollyscoop today that those rumors are just “not true.” A source stated:

“His career isn’t exactly where he wants it to be. Kevin wants to get back into shape and welcomes anyone who can help him.”

Help him get back into shape? Quit drinking beer and run some laps around the block. How’s that for help?

Given his background as a dancer, isn’t he a mite overqualified for “DWTS?” Aren’t they supposed to take celebs with no previous dancing experience and teach them how to shake their booties?

Using his ex-wife’s comeback to get media attention, Britney Spears’ baby daddy Kevin Federline is on the cover of the new People trying to convince us that he’s Father of the Year. He said about getting custody of the boys:

“My first question to [my lawyer] was, “Am I ever going to be able to see my children?” I told him that I would spend every last dime that I had to make sure that my children are okay. That’s all that mattered. I didn’t know how much power Britney had. That really scared me.”

And he tells about the night Britney was taken to the hospital after locking herself in the bathroom with son Jayden:

“That whole night is a blur. You want to talk about one of my lowest points of depression, that was probably one of them. I was very, very worried for her ‘cause I care about her. That’s the mother of my children. Just because I’m not in love with her doesn’t mean that I don’t love her. I’m definitely rooting for her. There’s nothing more that I want than for her to be in the best health and doing what she loves to do.”

Of course you do, since she’s your meal ticket.

Kevin Federline’s Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! News today that K-Fed will not be on the next plane to Louisiana to snatch his sons away from Britney Spears despite Jayden’s allergic reaction that sent him to the hospital. 

“I think that whatever it is, a food allergy or some other case, we don’t know yet. We’re pleased that someone was aware enough to see that he was having some sort of reaction and do what was necessary to make sure there were no chances taken and got Jayden to the appropriate facility and got the appropriate evaluation to be timely…We’re not going to jump to conclusions right now.”

Kaplan did hint that the boys’ trip to LA with Brit may be a short one. 

“The kids will be back with Kevin shortly. I don’t know whether it’s today or in the next couple of days.”

Jayden can expect a visit to the pediatrician as soon as he’s back in L.A. with dad.

Britney Spears got quite a scare when her son Jayden James had to be rushed to the emergency room for an allergic reaction to food, but she could be looking at more trouble ahead if her neglect was responsible for the child’s illness. Family laq attorney Lynn Soodik told E! News:

“If she was negligent—for example, he couldn’t eat nuts or shrimp and she fed him that—then Kevin could go in and get an order modifying custody. Perhaps they’ll put a monitor back in or maybe it might be the children can’t be with her without the father around. But then they’ll have to show that she really put them at risk.”

I’m not buying this. If Kevin Federline knew either of the kids had food allergies, wouldn’t he tell Britney’s whole family what to look out for and send an exact list of what they can and can’t eat? Some food allergies can be fatal and I find it hard to believe that any member of this family would endanger a child like that.

The younger of Britney Spears’ two sons, Jayden James Federline, was rushed to the emergency room after suffering from seizures caused by a severe allergic reaction on Sunday. The family was visiting in Kentwood, LA at the time. The child’s father Kevin Ferderline is reported to be on his way to Kentwood from Los Angeles. A source told People magazine:

“He’s doing fine. They kept him overnight.” 

We hope Jayden’s doing OK and will be better soon.

UPDATE: The family has released a statement:

“Jayden James Federline was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 9. Doctors concluded he had a reaction to something he ingested. He is expected to be discharged tomorrow.”

UPDATE: Jayden has reportedly been released from the hospital.

Britney’s house is a little fuller today after sister Jaime Lynn Spears and daughter Maddie flew in yesterday for a visit. Jaime Lynn flew in for an expected birthday party celebration for Britney’s sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, who turn 3 and 2 respectively this week. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s custody battles may have ended a few weeks ago, but it’s Brit who’ll be dealing with the mounting legal bills. According to the Associated Press, the legal bills submitted on behalf of the two law firms who represented Britney in the custody battle total more than $466,000. That amount is on top of the $250,000 in legal fees for Federline that the singer agreed to pay for. The largest bill comes from attorney Stacy D. Phillips, who says in court filings that she is owed nearly $407,000 for four months worth of work. Attorney Laura Wasser, who took over the case in June and negotiated an agreement which allows the singer more time with her young sons, is seeking $60,000. Wasser worked on the case for nearly two months. Any payments between the parties would have to be approved by a Los Angeles court commissioner, but attorneys representing Britney and dad Jamie Spears claimed last week in court that they intend to contest Stacy D. Phillips’ bill.

Sources tell us that the family is in the works to get the two boys permission to leave town with Britney to see sister Jamie Lynn and have the boys meet their cousin Maddie Briann. Brit and ex-husband Kevin Federline just settled their custody issues two weeks ago, with Britney getting more visitation time with her kids, but Kevin maintaining sole custody. Let’s hope Brit gets the chance to take her boys to see their new cousin.

Our photogs spotted the ex Mr. Britney Spears heading to a business meeting in Santa Monica yesterday. Maybe the meeting was for Kevin Federline’s upcoming fitness DVD. Yes, fitness DVD. Fox News is reporting that Kevin will be putting out his own workout DVD. “I plan to get back to looking ripped and sexy again — I know I have let it all go but watch me fly this year,” he reportedly told one of Fox’s sources. Hey, he’s gotta’ shake his money-maker, right? I mean, he is a professional dancer, after all. This might be what he’s been meant to do all along. Although, as you will see in all these pics, he might want to cut back on the incessant chain smoking. And this is coming from a smoker, mind you. Just a suggestion, Kevy-Kev. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline reached a custody settlement today. Kevin will retain sole custody of their two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden Jaymes, 1. Britney will keep her visitation rights, which includes two regular visits and one overnight visit per week. Under the settlement, Brit’s visitation rights will also increase as time goes on. “The case has been settled,” Kevin’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, tells People Magazine. “This is the end of a two-year journey.” Meanwhile, in Brit’s camp, attorney Laura Wasser claims that Britney is very happy with the settlement and that the singer did win more custodial time with her sons. And the two boys are actually spending time with their mom this morning, according to Wasser. The court has yet to sign off on the agreement, but Kevin Federline is said to be due in court today. Thank goodness Brit and Kevin settled this and avoided going to trial. The last thing Britney needed was a drawn out court session.

Britney’s ex may have found himself a new job. Actually, the new job may have found him. In Touch Weekly is reporting that Kevin Federline has been approached to be the new face of Christopher Brian Collection. The deal would reportedly pay the ex-Mr. Spears seven-figures. Seven-figures, Kevin! I think any father of four would take that offer and run with it. “We feel Kevin would be a great model for the line,” Chris Stokes, one of the owners of the denim label told the magazine. Kevin, meanwhile, hasn’t finalized anything with the fashion line, as he’s busy with other projects. Hey, unless those other “projects” are offering you a seven-figure deal, I suggest you get your calendar free. I’m sure Britney’s rooting for you, too. She’s probably getting tired of paying for your legal bills.

Update 2: This is great news! According to TMZ, Brit was awarded overnight visitation rights with her sons! Good times! The story also states that Britney’s parenting coach, Lisa Hacker, was in court today to answer questions. I don’t know what the questions were, but from the outcome today, I’m sure Brit’s improvement in the last few months is being acknowledged. More court action on July 15.

Update 1: Britney and Kevin exited the courtroom around 11am this morning. Brit told reporters outside the court that she was “pleased” with the outcome. Kevin, meanwhile, according to Eonline.com, had a smile on his face when he left. Hey, if they’re both smiling then something good must have come out of this session. There will be more info on what happened in court today when they release the hearing’s minute order later on today.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline reportedly arrived separately at a Los Angeles court this morning for a custody hearing. Brit’s dad Jamie is also said to be present. People.com is reporting that Britney is trying to change her visitation schedules with her sons. Kevin and Britney have been working (well) together the last couple of months in regards to Brit having some time with Sean Preston and Jayden James. Let’s hope today’s hearing will go smoothly for the pop star, who’s been much improved since her last hospitalization in January. Ladies and gents, Kevin Federline has been named father of the year. No, Redbook Magazine decided to wait until next year to honor him, but Prive nightclub in Las Vegas just couldn’t wait that long. Yes, Prive – a club – is honoring him with a father of the year award. I can already hear the giggles and snickers out there. He will be given the prestigious award on June 13 at the club, where he’ll also be hosting a party. Well, that’s convenient. Kevin was also awarded the same distinguishing honor by Details mag last year. Then again, they also named Larry Birkhead as an honoree, so that was questionable. Prive should just name Papa Jamie Spears father of the year, too. With all the work he’s done with Brit, he definitely deserves a bit of praise. Anyway, congrats Kevin. Maybe next year you’ll be named Hooters’ father of the year. One can dream.

He may tell the courts he needs help paying for his legal fees, but Kevin Federline has no problem spending tons of money during his Vegas trips. Huffingtonpost.com is reporting that Kevin spent $43,000 on Las Vegas hotels, dining and shopping between May 2007 and January 2008. The total includes his infamous $2,000 tip left at Scores strip club and over $3,000 each at Tao nightclub and Hard Rock Beach Club. I definitely believe in tipping well, but his spending habits are outrageous. He’s really living way beyond his means. I know he got used to the good life with Brit, but unless he’s earning the funds, should’t he conserve a bit?

It has a picture of Britney and Kevin on their honeymoon together from 2004, with headlines stating they had a secret weekend and will be going on vacation to Hawaii together. Although it is true that they spent Easter together with the kids, Us Magazine is now reporting that the Hawaii vaca is definitely false after talking to their reps. I really doubt anyone believed this story, but there are a few hopefuls out there who like Brit and Kevin together. I know it’s been very quiet on the Britney front, so maybe some tabloids have run out of things to write about Brit, but the exes are definitely not back together.

According to court documents released this morning, Britney Spears will have to pay for $375,000 of ex Kevin Federline’s legal fees. Los Angeles Court Commissioner Scott Gordon called the ruling reasonable, stating that it was mostly because of Britney’s actions that caused the majority of the litigation. Family courts have the power to order one party to pay for the other’s fees based on income and needs. Kevin has stated in court that he doesn’t have a regular income coming in, while his ex garners about $700,000. Well, maybe he should find a job, right?

Um, the jury’s still out on this one. The judge who heard Stacy Phillips (Brit’s new custody attorney) this morning will have think about overturning the ruling that Britney has to pay for Kevin’s legal fees. Phillips highlighted Kevin’s lenient spending and cited examples of such behavior. Both sides made their arguments, but the judge did not make any decisions today. Brit’s legal team is actually just asking that Kevin pay for “some” of his legal fees, which you would think is not too much to ask for. Anyway, the next custody hearing is set for May 6, but there will definitely be more updates regarding this story before then.

Brit’s dad Jamie Spears and ex Kevin Federline are in court today regarding legal fees Britney has to pay for the custody battle. The court has ruled before that Britney has to pay for Kevin’s legal fees. I guess the last bill Mark Vincent Kaplan sent to Brit was for over $500,000. No, that’s not a typo. Brit’s new custody attorney, Stacy Phillips, is arguing they are charging way too much.  She is also going to dispute a previous bill of $600,000 from Trope & Trope, Brit’s previous attorney/firm. Kevin and Jamie actually went golfing this weekend together, so they’re probably just chatting at the court lobby and talking about handicaps. At any rate, we’ll give you more updates as they come.
