Kiefer Starts Drinking Early

Hard-drinking actor Kiefer Sutherland has racked up a few DUIs in his time, but he’s still pouring down the juice—even early in the morning.
TMZ reports the star of “24” and some members of the crew descended on The Spot in San Pedro at 7 am one morning last week, following a shoot for the series. The group proceeded to drink for the next six hours, with Kiefer downing scotch and Cokes, and buying drinks for everyone in the bar. The tab for all this? $500.
Kiefer didn’t seem to mind, since he left a $200 tip. The star does seem to have learned from his past mistakes in one way—a designated driver took him home.

Kiefer’s Off The Hook For Head Butt

The producers of “24″ can rest easier now, since their star Kiefer Sutherland has settled his conflict with the designer he was accused of assaulting.
The AP reports the actor and designer Jack McCollough have resolved their differences, making it possible that the charges will be dropped. Sutherland is accused of breaking McCollough’s nose during an altercation at an NYC gala May 7. This is no doubt a huge relief for the “24″ star, who is still on probation from his last DUI, and could have faced jail time if convicted of the new charges.
Wonder how much cash changed hands to make this one go away?

Kiefer Could Face More Jail Time

“24″ star Kiefer Sutherland could be looking at more than some bad press and a slap on the wrist after assaulting a fashion designer.
According to the NY Daily News, Sutherland faces a third-degree assault charge for slamming his head into Jack McCollough at a Soho nightspot, claiming the designer bumped into actress Brooke Shields and failed to apologize.
Complicating this case is the fact that Sutherland is still on probation for his 2007 drunk driving charge in Los Angeles. The actor was sentenced to five years probation after serving 48 days in jail for the 2007 DUI, which occurred while he was still on probation for a 2004 DUI.
So could Sutherland be looking a another stint behind bars? A, spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney’s office didn’t have an answer yet. “There is an ongoing investigation, and we’ll wait until that is concluded. We would need to see the specific facts of what happened before we make a determination as to whether or not probation has been violated.”
Some rich lawyer-to-the-stars is going to get even richer trying to keep Kiefer out of the slammer.

The Clock Winds Down For “24″

The end is near for Kiefer Sutherland’s days as terrorist hunter Jack Bauer. Sutherland has told the London Mirror that the next season of ”24″ — its eighth—will be its last. He sounded a bit fatalistic about his character’s future:
“I see Jack as a really human figure and there is something innately tragic about people. I think there is no winning.
“We’re all going to die. There’s something kind of sad in that, and yet there’s something really beautiful and hopeful.”
Sounds like Jack may be going out with a bang.

Kiefer Enjoys The Waves

“24″ star Kiefer Sutherland was spotted enjoying some tanning and sun action this holiday weekend in Malibu. It looks like Keifer’s trying out his new fins, although those suckers look pretty small. Maybe he borrowed them from his kid. Hey, Kiefer, buy your own! Just kidding. Season 7 of “24″ will be premiering in January 2009, for those who were wondering. Wonder what kind of crazy shenanigans Jack Bauer will get into next season. I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see. In the meantime, Kiefer’s chillin’ at the beach trying to get a tan.
