Kristen Freaked Out Producers With New Hairdo

When Kristen Stewart used her break between “Twilight” projects to shoot “The Runaways,” she changed more than characters. To portray punk rocker Joan Jett, K-Stew swapped the flowing locks she wore as Bella for a dyed black shag. RadarOnline reports the actress was fine with the change, but the producers of the vampire franchise weren’t so sure.
“I knew I could still play Bella and not have to feel the sweat running down my head to make me feel I was doing something real. I knew I could wear a wig and still play her. And I knew if I was going to fit ‘The Runaways’ into this time frame that they were going to just have to deal with it.” Kristen did manage to placate the nervous “New Moon” execs.
“That was something they were initially scared about, but it ended up being totally fine. And it gave me an opportunity to do something different in between. Hopefully people can understand that.” Smart girl—you don’t want to get typecast at 19!

Jett Calls Kristen Little Sis

Ultimate rocker chick Joan Jett walked the red carpet at Monday night’s premiere of “New Moon,” and she gave RadarOnline the scoop on seeing Kristen Stewart portray her in the biopic “The Runaways.” The film is based on Jett’s memoirs of her days in the teen girls’ rock group.
“She was amazing, such an amazing talent,” Jett gushed. “It was incredible to see her transform into me, and it wasn’t creepy. It was very surreal, like having a little sister.” Kristen certainly looks the part, with her black shag haircut and vintage 70s wardrobe!

Dakota And Kristen Are Best Pals

It’s natural Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart would have a lot in common, since they’re both super-successful teen actresses, so it’s not surprising the two share a special bond. The two former child stars recently made a pair of films together: “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and “The Runaways.”
Dakota told Teen Vogue, “We became really close. It’s like we’d known each other our whole lives. We talk all the time.” In “The Runaways,” Dakota and Kristen play teen rockers Cherie Currie and Joan Jett. Dakota finds similarities in the reel and real life ties. “The relationship that Joan and Cherie have in the script is kind of the one that Kristen and I have in real life . . . minus the destructive part.”
How does she avoid going down the path of too many other teen stars? “I get my rebellion out through movies. I’m boring that way. I enjoy having a normal life.” Good for her!

K-Stew Says “You Only Live Once”

“Twilight” leading lady Kristen Stewart has had a prickly relationship with the press, but with a new movie coming out, she has to face the media. E! reports at today’s L.A. press conference for “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” the actress addressed the romance rumors surrounding her relationship with co-star Robert Pattinson.
“The whole rumor, tabloid stuff, it’s so obviously false. I became a part of a show, a ridiculous show, with false realism, like a soap opera, but it doesn’t bother me. I don’t take it personally, because I have gotten so much experience with this, it’s gotten easier.” It might be easier for the blogosphere to buy that if you hadn’t spent the night with Rob at the Chateau Marmont just last week, babe.
Of the fans’ attachment to her Bella Swan, K-Stew stated, “I totally understand that people have a hard time seeing us outside of our characters. I’m very protective of her. I feel a shared ownership, its weird.” Appreciate it while you have it, coz you never know how long it will last.
At least Kristen can recognize her weaknesses. “Maybe I am an immature girl as well; I really feel like if you think you need to do it, you need to do it, and ‘it’ can be anything. Be extreme. Go for it. I know this is a movie about immortality and mortality, but you only live once.” Yep—enjoy it while you can!

Rob Spends The Night With Kristen

Now we know why the usually glum Robert Pattinson looked so cheerful at the Oct. 30 screening of the second “Twilight” film, “New Moon.” US Weekly has revealed Rob spent the night before at the Chateau Marmont with co-star Kristen Stewart!
The next morning, the happy couple enjoyed a breakfast from Noah’s Bagels—a plain bagel with walnut cream cheese for Rob and a blueberry with butter for Kristen. Their closeness continued at the screening, as a source told US, “Rob wanted a cigarette so he went outside with Kristen for about 15 minutes. They were hugging, as Rob was smoking his cigarette and then he leaned down and kissed her on the lips. He had his arm around her almost the whole time.” As much as both of them claim to be “just friends,” this sounds like a romance to us!
