Mariah Carey wed Nick Cannon is a surprise ceremony last April 30. Now the happy couple plans to celebrate in style!

E! reports the pair will commemorate their one-year anniversary with a late-night party at the Palms’ Moon nightclub in Las Vegas on April 30. On the invitation, the dress code says “Hot!”

I wonder if the theme of the party will be “Hello Kitty?”

On Earth Day, when most celebs are at least pretending to care about pollution, conservation and stuff like that, Mariah Carey obviously can’t be bothered.

Page Six reports the diva was voted “least green” celebrity in an Earth Day poll. Her main offense was flying in her personal trainer—from St. Barts. Was that by private plane? GreenDaily.com editor-in-chief Jonathon Morgan coomented, “People saw that as an extravagance rather than a necessity and the consequences for the planet probably don’t justify it.”

Famous folks judged “most green” included  Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Bono, Ed Begley Jr., Brad Pitt and Prince Charles. 

Mariah Carey has canceled her upcoming tour, adding more fuel to the rumors that she and husband Nick Cannon are expecting. A source told the NY Daily News:

“Costume designers and dancers were all called Wednesday and told the tour is off. Most were hysterically crying because they were relying on her for a paycheck this holiday season.”

Ouch! The singer’s rep replied  ”a tour was discussed, but nothing was confirmed. I have not been told she’s pregnant.”

Is Mariah Carey finally going to be a mom? Page Six reports that the singer was spotted coming out of a Beverly Hills ob/gyn’s office “clutching what looked like a sonogram and being greeted by her entourage with cheers. She was ebullient.” Carey and hubby Nick Cannon have stated they want to add to the family and at her age, there’s no time like the present. Her reps deny everything, but we’ve heard that one before.

If she isn’t, why is she being so evasive? When the pop diva taped “The Ellen Degeneres Show” Tuesday, she gave a “no” to the host’s direct question about her mommy-maybe status. Then when Ellen brought out flutes of champagne to toast her not-expectant status, Carey made and excuse about it being too early for her to drink. Finally she pretended to sip the bubbly without actually getting it down. Does this sound like the behavior of a woman who’s definitely, positively not pregnant? But time will tell, won’t it?

Newlywed Mariah Carey is ready to have herself some babies. Mariah is Elle Magazine’s August cover girl and the songstress talked about how hubby Nick Cannon would be an amazing dad. “I couldn’t imagine anybody that I’ve ever met being a better dad,” she gushed about Nick. She also talked about having to raise kids in the limelight: “You can get caught up in Hollywood-land or celebrity-land, and that’s maybe not the best thing for kids, ’cause they didn’t ask for it,” she says. It really sounds like Mariah’s found the right guy for her. Granted, there are still some haters out there who would like to see her union with Nick go down the drain, but I really hope they work out. Hey, just trying to stay positive here.

You gotta’ love Mariah Carey. She’s definitely not shy about asking for gifts. Page Six is reporting that Mariah and new hubby Nick Cannon sent out emails to their friends telling them they’re registered at Bergdorf Goodman and would welcome a gift if they’re so inclined. As everyone knows, the couple secretly married in the Bahamas and didn’t invite any guests. That usually means you don’t get gifts, right? I’m sure many of the couple’s friends and fans have sent them wedding gifts already, but it’s definitely tacky asking for gifts for a party (what a wedding really is) you didn’t invite anyone to. If they were throwing a reception, then it would make sense. I think that’s how wedding etiquette works, but I’ll go check The Knot later or something. Well, let’s hope they at least send thank you notes.

It wouldn’t be a real wedding if 2,000 people are not there to witness it. Of course not. Thus, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have announced that they’ll have a second wedding. This is all Mariah’s idea, of course, let’s get that straight. MSNBC.com is reporting that the couple plan to have their second lavish wedding in New York City. “She wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids,” a source revealed. Mariah visited the Ellen De Generes show last week and told the host that she and Nick will have another wedding next year. I guess she couldn’t wait that long. I wonder which magazine’s going to win the bidding wars for the wedding pics.

Newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were spotted last night after their dinner at Gyu-Kaku Restaurant in Beverly Hills. Mariah will be a guest on the Ellen DeGeneris show today and the diva reportedly presents Ellen with sexy lingerie for her birthday. Lovely choice. I’m sure Mariah’s been busy buying a ton of new sexy lacies herself since she got married to Nick a couple of weeks ago. These two are definitely on honeymoon mode for another six months or so. And Nick definitely looks like husband accessory, doesn’t he? He will always ask for Mariah’s opinion on his outfit. Always. We know who wears the five-inch stilettos in this marriage, ladies and gents.

I’m sure you’ve all heard by now that Mariah Carey is officially married to Nick Cannon. They’ve confirmed it and the couple are even on the cover of People Magazine this week. The mag has exclusive photos from the couple’s nuptials and talked to Mariah about her new love. “We really do feel we are soulmates,” she told the magazine, “I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me.” Hey, I’m no hater, so I can only wish Mariah and Nick the best of luck. I’m liking this older woman, younger man thing going on in Hollywood, I’ll say that much. And yes, folks are already placing bets on when these two are going to get divorced, but I’ll go out on a limb and hope they stay together for a while. Have some babies, Mariah!

Update: I guess there’s confirmation that Mariah and Nick are indeed married. E! News talked to family member Linda Cannon, who confirmed the nuptials. I wonder how Linda and Nick are related. Anyway, there you go. I’m still waiting for Mariah’s word, though. Hey, she might confirm it in song.

Well, well, what do we have here? It seems that America’s favorite high-pitched songbird got herself a groom. Mariah Carey and boyfriend Nick Cannon have eloped! Latina Magazine was the first to report the news. Mariah and Nick wed yesterday on an island and the event was said to be very impulsive. Rapper Da Brat, along with a small group of friends were in attendance. By the way, Mariah and Da Brat are good friends, so this is not some random thing. I’m just wondering if this is true or if it’s one of Ashton’s pranks again. There were reports yesterday about the couple getting engaged, so a quick wedding is definitely a surprise. I wonder what Mariah wore. And the only thing I can imagine Nick Cannon wearing is that marching band uniform he wore on Drumline. Well, if it’s the real deal, then congrats to the hungover couple. C’mon, you know there was liquor involved in this madness.

If you’re a Mariah Carey fan or an American Idol fanatic, then you’re in for a treat. Mimi is going to be appearing tonight on AI. Randy Jackson told Us Magazine that they’ve been trying to get the songbird on the show for the last two seasons. She’ll be dropping by the show tonight to mentor the remaining seven contestants. They will all have to sing a Mariah Carey song. Her octave’s insane, so this is probably going to be a tough night for the AI hopefuls. Mariah’s new album E=MC2 hits the stores today, so this is great timing for a Mimi appearance.

MTV put on quite a show last night as they debuted their hit show The Hills for its new season. All were in attendance, even Audrina Patridge showed up, and fully clothed I might add. But there was one Hill’s starlet who failed to show at her own premiere – Heidi! Any fan of the show knows that she is not Lauren Conrad’s favorite person, but how could you not show up to your own premiere? Anyway Heidi claims it’s because she is oh sooo busy recording her “highly anticipated” album, if she doesn’t watch herself she could be being replaced by another song bird Diva, Mimi! Mimi showed her support by singing her heart out for the crowd. I wonder if she is auditioning to be the new fourth?
