Matt’s Back – Showtime Has Him

After taking several years off to lick his wounds from the failure of his last series, former “Friends” star Matt LeBlanc is returning to TV.
Showtime has announced that the actor will star in a “comedy series about a British couple whose hit UK show is turned into a dumbed-down American sit-com” starring LeBlanc as himself. Well, we know he has the “dumbed-down part” down pat already. Entitled “Episodes,” the show will debut on Showtime and BBC Two in 2010.
While this doesn’t sound like a guaranteed winner, it’s gotta be better than “Joey.”

Where the heck is Matt LeBlanc these days? I haven’t heard a peep from him since Joey went off air. Well, the current news on Matt is that he’s being sued by his ex manager for unpaid commissions and, in turn, he’s accusing her of mental instability. Oye, sounds like drama. Hopefully Matt’s taking a break from all that mess today because it’s his bornday. Happy 41st birthday, Matt! I’m sure you have a lot of fans who’d like to see you on TV (or the movies) again soon.
