Miley Cyrus’ dad, Billy Ray, was on the Today Show this morning and he finally spoke out about those darn Vanity Fair pictures. He told Meredith Viera that he didn’t know the VF photo shoot would turn out like that. He accompanied Miley to the shoot but had to leave for a special show for the troops in Washington. According to Billy Ray he didn’t know that “they were going to strip her down and wrap her in a blanket.” I can understand that this is a very busy family, but I would have never left my 15-year old daughter alone at a photo shoot. Billy Ray can blast VF all he wants, but in the end, that’s his daughter. He should have been watching over her. There’s my two cents.
Miley’s Milk Ad

I’m sure Miley uses tons of milk with her java drinks from the local Coffee Bean. Miley Cyrus is in the new Got Milk ad and she looks great! Here’s what the caption says: “Actress by day. Rocker by night. I’ve got to keep fit to keep up. So I drink milk. Some studies suggest that teens who choose milk instead of sugary drinks tend to be leaner and the protein helps build muscle. It’s the best of both worlds.” Well, we’ve seen her drinking a lot of sugary iced blended treats, so hopefully she still drinks her milk to even it all out.
Miley Wango Tangos

Miley Cyrus made sure she was well fed before her big show on Saturday night. The teen queen headed to Lucy’s for a meal with mom Tish before they headed out to KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango show in Orange County. Miley was in good spirits as always and smiled for our photogs. She’s been given a lot of flack lately for those Vanity Fair photos and Playboy boss Hugh Hefner even offered to have her pose for the mag when she turns 18. Kind of creepy, I thought. I wonder what Tish and Billy Ray thought about that offer. They probably just winced and decided to ignore it. Folks are just waiting for Miley to mess up, but I think she’ll be even more careful to stay out of negative press after the VF scandal. Ignore the haters and just keep smiling, Miley.
Hannah M. Losing Popularity?

Is Miley Cyrus losing her golden touch? The NY Daily News is reporting today that the ratings for the newest episode of Hannah Montana dropped 14% from the previous new episode (aired a couple of months ago). Folks are wondering if this has anything to do with the Vanity Fair photos scandal, but Disney peeps are dismissing it. Disney’s president and chief executive officer, Bog Iger, said: “With a new season of shows coming up, a new record in July and a theatrical film next year, the ‘Hannah Montana’/Miley Cyrus franchise is incredibly robust.” They’re not letting go of Miley yet. She’s still making them millions, after all. The Vaniy Fair thing is going to be a thing of the past when her new album comes out this summer. Expect the tweens to continue their support of Miley. I doubt those racy pictures will diminish MIley’s popularity.
Update: Miley’s Keeping Mum

Update: Miley and family are still keeping mum about the racy pictures (supposedly) of her all over the internet. Randomly, Bill O’Reilly is taking up the Miley cause. Bill has called for a conference to discuss the leaked photos. “Look, we have so few role models, particularly for little girls in this country,” he said on his show Wednesday. “She is the main one. I hate to see this.” He sounds sincere, but we all know Bill O’Reilly also loves publicity. Either way, I’m still waiting for Miley to comment on the pics, although I think she’s just going to wait until this all dies down.
Our favorite teen sensation Miley Ray Cyrus is keeping mum about her supposed provocative pics circling around the net. Is it really her? Her mom/manager Tish and dad Billy Ray haven’t released a statement about the photos. I saw the pics and they look like Miley. She’s so young, I was a bit thrown off by the sexy poses. Okay, I know there are racier photos on MySpace, but special attention is being pointed towards Miley because of her fan base. Every little girl in America knows Hannah Montana, after all. In other Miley news, Disney will be publishing the teen star’s memoirs next spring. The book’s mainly going to be about her rise to fame with the assistance of her mom, Tish. Well, let’s hope she’s still Disney-esque by next spring.
