The WGA took to the streets of Silver Lake to interrupt the Jim Carrey set of Yes Man and were successful in shutting production down for the day. The WGA has been invading movie and television sets throughout Southern California since the beginning of the strike shutting down several sets ranging from hours to days. I’ve hung out with the WGA on various sets and I’ve got to tell you, they are keeping their writing wits about them coming up with clever chants and sharing other humorous anecdotes to pass the time. We’ve featured many pictures of Angelina Jolie looking simply marvelous in her attire for the period piece, The Changeling. But to see the set, complete with era-specific cars and all the extras dressed in depression-era garb is something else. I had a chance to drive through downtown Los Angeles, where production for the Changeling continued in front of City Hall, and saw many of the extras hanging around afterwards, still dressed in their costumes. It was nice to imagine a time when folks took special care in their attire, dressing up in a nice three-piece suit for the men, and layered skirted attires complete with pearls and hats for the women. I looked down at my orange Havaianas flip flops and almost felt compelled to put on some shoes. But hey, we ARE in sunny Los Angeles. And it is almost 2008. Okay, that’s no excuse not to wear shoes in November, but I can still look out the car window and lust after frilly skirts and flirty heels. The Changeling is set for a November 2008 release. Even with four kids at home (or maybe they’re at Toys R Us with Mr. Jolie – kidding), Angelina continued to film her upcoming project, ‘Changeling’ in Pasadena, CA. She’s shown here with the movie’s director and Hollywood legend, Clint Eastwood. The film, which is being released by Universal Pictures, has an insane cast and crew attached to it, namely Brian Grazer, super producer in LaLa-Land, as well as a supporting team to die for (including John Malkovich). We caught Angelina Jolie on the Pasadena set of The Changeling. Angie is looking incredible in her 20’s doo and hat. Quite a difference from her walk down the red carpet at last nights Beowulf World Premiere. It looks like even director Clint Eastwood can’t keep his hands off Angelina.

We caught Jim Carrey filming scenes for his movie Yes Man at a gas station in Los Angeles California. In the movie, Jim plays a man who has decided to say Yes to everything for an entire year. What do you think of that? Sounds a bit like Liar, Liar, where Jim played a lawyer who couldn’t tell a lie for one day.
