E! reports the pair will commemorate their one-year anniversary with a late-night party at the Palms’ Moon nightclub in Las Vegas on April 30. On the invitation, the dress code says “Hot!”

I wonder if the theme of the party will be “Hello Kitty?”

You gotta’ love Mariah Carey. She’s definitely not shy about asking for gifts. Page Six is reporting that Mariah and new hubby Nick Cannon sent out emails to their friends telling them they’re registered at Bergdorf Goodman and would welcome a gift if they’re so inclined. As everyone knows, the couple secretly married in the Bahamas and didn’t invite any guests. That usually means you don’t get gifts, right? I’m sure many of the couple’s friends and fans have sent them wedding gifts already, but it’s definitely tacky asking for gifts for a party (what a wedding really is) you didn’t invite anyone to. If they were throwing a reception, then it would make sense. I think that’s how wedding etiquette works, but I’ll go check The Knot later or something. Well, let’s hope they at least send thank you notes.

It wouldn’t be a real wedding if 2,000 people are not there to witness it. Of course not. Thus, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have announced that they’ll have a second wedding. This is all Mariah’s idea, of course, let’s get that straight. MSNBC.com is reporting that the couple plan to have their second lavish wedding in New York City. “She wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids,” a source revealed. Mariah visited the Ellen De Generes show last week and told the host that she and Nick will have another wedding next year. I guess she couldn’t wait that long. I wonder which magazine’s going to win the bidding wars for the wedding pics.

Nick Cannon is going to have to get used to a lot of things now that he’s married to Mariah Carey. For one, he’ll have to get to know the paparazzis, because he’ll be seeing a lot of them wherever he goes. Just as Katie Holmes became a pap favorite after her marriage to Tom Cruise, Nick will be as well. Before Mariah, Nick was virtually ignored by the paps (sort of like Katie Holmes). Now, he’ll probably know each one of them by name. Another thing he’ll have to get used to? A lot of pink and lavender around the house. I read those are Mariah’s favorite colors. Thus, they will now have to be Nick’s favorite colors. Now that we’ve cleared that up, go make some babies, Nick!

Mariah will be a guest on the Ellen DeGeneris show today and the diva reportedly presents Ellen with sexy lingerie for her birthday. Lovely choice. I’m sure Mariah’s been busy buying a ton of new sexy lacies herself since she got married to Nick a couple of weeks ago. These two are definitely on honeymoon mode for another six months or so. And Nick definitely looks like husband accessory, doesn’t he? He will always ask for Mariah’s opinion on his outfit. Always. We know who wears the five-inch stilettos in this marriage, ladies and gents.

I’m sure you’ve all heard by now that Mariah Carey is officially married to Nick Cannon. They’ve confirmed it and the couple are even on the cover of People Magazine this week. The mag has exclusive photos from the couple’s nuptials and talked to Mariah about her new love. “We really do feel we are soulmates,” she told the magazine, “I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me.” Hey, I’m no hater, so I can only wish Mariah and Nick the best of luck. I’m liking this older woman, younger man thing going on in Hollywood, I’ll say that much. And yes, folks are already placing bets on when these two are going to get divorced, but I’ll go out on a limb and hope they stay together for a while. Have some babies, Mariah!
