Nicole Getting Her Own Show?

Lionel’s oldest daughter, Nicole Richie, might be getting her own show soon. E! News is reporting that a TV show based on her 2005 coming-of-age novel The Truth About Diamonds is in the works and she’s gearing up to be a part of the production. TTAD is about twentysomething Chloe Parker, who was adopted by a music superstar when she was 7 and as a young adult finds herself running with an elite Hollywood party crowd in between run-ins with the police, tabloid rumors and a stint in rehab. Basically, it’s Nicole’s story. Asked if she would be starring in the show, she told E! she wasn’t sure it was necessary. “I don’t know if I need to be the star of this show,” she said. But she did say that she’ll definitely produce and be in the show (maybe for a cameo). Nicole also reported that she’s working on a second book. Well, it sounds like besides being a new mommy and starting a charitable foundation, Nicole’s finding even more things to do. It’s safe to say Ms. Richie has definitely done a lot of growing up.

Yes, I didn’t know engagement dresses existed, either, but I guess they do. And if you’d like to spend your hard-earned cash on one of those darn engagement dresses that was previously owned by a celeb, then you’re in luck. Bridezillas-to-be everywhere, Nicole Richie is selling her engagement dress. Hip-hip-hooray! Nicole is selling the dress she wore to the engagement party thrown for her and ex-fiance Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein in 2005. The gorgeous gold gown is a vintage Halston dress and is said to be worth more than $10,000. This special frock is being sold by consignment store Fisch for The Hip in New York City for $3,000. Be forewarned, though, the dress is a size 0. Yes, size zero. Um, that would just about fit my neck.

I’m really loving Nicole Richie’s dress in these photos, plus the cute sandals. Thank goodness she got her toes done, coz’ you can’t wear those type of Roman-style open shoes if your feet’s looking janky. That’s my sister’s word, janky. Anyway, back to Nicole. She was at traffic school again yesterday. I’m hoping for her sake that she’s almost done. She must be bored out of her mind by now. I hope she can watch TV on her phone or something. Well, at least she was looking lovely. I’m sure picking out which cute outfit to wear is the only salvation she has on Wednesdays - traffic school day. Boo. Hang in there, Nic.
From Traffic School To PSA’s

Guess where our photogs spotted Nicole Richie yesterday? You guessed it - she stopped by her second home - traffic school in Van Nuys. This has been Nicole’s regular Wednesday outing and I’m wondering how long she has to endure this. At this point, she must have made friends with her classmates already. And I’m sure calls the teacher by his/her first name by now and they probably ask her how Harlow is doing. Hey, there’s nothing wrong with making new buddies. Nicole also recently did a PSA via UNICEF with Joel regarding the tragic cyclone in Myanmar. Good for them. And since they did the PSA, I might as well pass on the website for UNICEF, just in case there are folks out there who’d like to make a donation. A Walk With Harlow

Our photogs spotted Nicole Richie and Joel Madden taking little Harlow out today. The family headed to Starbucks in Glendale for a little java. Nicole’s currently on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar and there are pics of Harlow in the issue, so you should definitely check that out if you’re curious about the little one. These two are definitely in it for the long haul. They seem like a pretty steady couple, although it is Hollywood. It’s a tough town to stay together in. Well, if they have the same love as Paris and Benjie have, then I’m sure they’ll be fine.
