The Big Give Goes

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

I didn’t even know this was possible, but I guess if you’re Oprah Winfrey, you can do pretty much whatever you want. Oprah Winfrey has canceled her own show. Yes, she has. Relax, she’s not canceling her daytime TV gig - she’s not stupid, after all. She’s canceling Oprah’s Big Give, which was on ABC on Sunday nights and scored decent ratings. She asked ABC not to renew the show. “We loved that show and absolutely would have loved to bring it back,” ABC entertainment president Steve McPherson said yesterday. “But it was something [Oprah] didn’t want to do.” Well, Oprah leaves when she wants to leave, I guess.

Hannah Montana On Oprah!

Okay, this picture is neither Hannah nor any of the Montanas, but you get the point. I’m sure Oprah looked this happy welcoming none other than Miley Cyrus, better known to all pre-teens alike as Hannah Montana. She’s going to be on Oprah today, so make sure you call home and TiVo that for your favorite Disney Channel fanatic, young and old. They will definitely give you a big hug for it, or at least an hour of no talking back, which also rocks. Tune in!

Oprah, Macy’s And Their Holiday Baubles

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

Oprah and best friend Gayle

I know, I know - we all now have those darn carols in our heads, don’t we? Jingle Bells, O Holy Night, etc. And now going to the mall seems more and more like a field trip to winter wonderland. This could only mean one thing - holiday shopping is here and the buying games have begun. Happy-happy-joy-joy for those lucky stores that get your hard earned money. Well, to help you out with some ideas, and to also help victims of the 2004 Rwandan genocide victims, Oprah (and O Magazine) has teamed up with Macy’s and Fair Wind’s Trading by offering special O Bracelets (for a limited time only). These beautiful bracelets are handmade by Rwandan women who went through the horrible atrocities just thirteen years ago. To see such amazing craftsmanship come from women who have gone through so much is a testament in itself, but you’ll just have to check out the different designs yourself. So, mark your holiday with even more giving spirit, and check out these bright baubles . Go to Macys.com and Oprah.com for more details.
