It’s been a while since our last Pap 101. A lot has changed but it all seems the same. Long hours sitting with fellow paps leads to some highs and lows throughout the day. Fortunately, we managed to catch a few highs and a not-so-bad low the other day while on Nadya Suleman. Without further introduction, Pap 101, with special guest  commenter, Stephan, or as he’s known on the streets, Douche.

So we’re all off to Palm Springs this Thursday for a screening of the JFX Documentary ‘Giving It Up.’ To help celebrate, we have a little behind the scenes of the video shoot we had out on the 4th Street bridge in Downtown Los Angeles, despite Uli’s repeated claims we were on the 6th Street bridge. Anyway, we’re all piling in a van for the drive down so by the time we get back there should be some interesting stories!

So even though the title says Best Of, Worst of,…. I have to be honest with you, there’s more Worst than Best. I’ve seen more than I care to admit to you guys and even to myself just to keep the nightmares away but we wanted to do something a bit different to continue celebrating the opening of the JFX Documentary ‘Giving It Up’ at the Palm Spring International Film Festival yesterday. So I put together this little reel of low lights that didn’t have a home over the last year. But please, please, PLEASE, treat the clip like a swimming pool. Make sure you wait at least two hours after eating before you dive into it!

We’ll have more stuff for you over the next couple days leading up to the second screening on Thursday, which the entire JFX crew will be attending!

So I spent my New Years Eve day sifting through a bunch of old Pap 101 videos, trying to put together a best of 2008 collage, but sadly, I’ve run out of time. I’ll get back to it in a day or so. I found a bunch of never before seen footage of Uli taking pictures in his underwear, Jonzen making out with his camera, Uli in the bathroom of a Home Town Buffet and a ton of other stuff. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry but mostly you’ll do more crying than laughing after seeing the aforementioned shots of Uli. Either way, here’s a Pap 101 from a week or so ago that I never got to. In case you don’t know who Yah Ya is, he’s a famous autograph/photo op guy here in town. He’s been on many late night television shows but he’s just an over all nice guy. So without further adieu, meet Yah ya.

Gwen and Gavin took little Kingston out rollerskating earlier this week. The family spent some family time skating around the rink, doing the hokey pokey and singing along to No Doubt songs. Check out Jonzen and Uli’s behind the scenes story on how they got the shots.

As promised, here’s the second episode of Pap 101. In this episode, Uli and Jonzen spend some time with Paris Hilton and her BFF…. Britney… I think. Anyway, as always, Uli and Jonzo always find themselves in the middle of it and this week’s no exception. This weeks guest stars include David Spade, Luis, Malaka, Felix, random urban candy sales kids, self-promoting fashion designer, and a Manny Pacquiao impersonator. Not to mention, Paris and her BFF, what’s her name.

It feels like years since our last Pap 101 but here we are, back with what will be back-to-back episodes of Pap 101. First up, we have the story behind yesterdays set of Milla Jovovich. Milla turned 33 yesterday so Uli and David used the ol’ flowers on your birthday trick to get Milla to open up a bit. Although, as nice as Milla is, flowers may not have been necessary! Check back tomorrow evening for the story behind last weeks set of Paris and her BFF out shopping.

Two weeks ago, a group of Paps got together at the Hollywood Sports Park in Belleflower California for some friendly paintball action! Most peple don”t realize how extremely stressful this job can be and sometimes the only way to relieve that stress is with other paps who understand. So often times we get together with friends and rivals to blow off some steam and re-charge the ol’ lumidyne’s. Uli was there and as usual, he had lots to say to the camera and also managed to get a couple paps to comment on Ashley Tisdale’s allegations against the phantom paparazzi who broke into her home.

Welcome to this weeks episode of Pap 101, JFX’s continuing look at that slice of Paparazzi life we enjoy sharing with you. This weeks episode covers Britney Spears’ arrival at LAX yesterday. Pap 101 was there to welcome Britney back from New York along with a horde of other Paps. So without further adieu, Pap 101. This weeks episode documents Jonzen and Uli’s helicopter trip a couple weeks back when they were covering the birthday parties of Sean Preston and Jayden James. This weeks episode is pretty long but it’s worth every second as we have some guest pap’s spilling the beans, among other things, about the world of paparazzi! Enjoy.

I apologize for taking so long to get this episode of Pap 101 cut for you guys but after you watch it, you should understand why. Uli and Sergio were joined by a couple of Chris Brown fans on the downtown Los Angeles set of Bone Deep and well, they had very animated personalities and language that required lots of editing. Of course Uli had a blast with them. BE WARNED, SOME OF THE LANGUAGE USED MAY NOT BE SAFE FOR WORK!

Hey everyone, we’re back with a special episode of Pap 101 for you. What’s so special about this weeks episode?  Well today is JFX’s own Ulises’ birthday. Send him your well wishes in the comments if you like and if you’re thinking of sending him a cheeseburger for his birthday, I suggest you watch the video first. I’m sure you’ll change your mind about that and send him a salad or something healthier instead. Kidding aside, Happy Birthday Uli, we all here at JFX appreciate the hard work you guys do! Vanessa Hudgens has been doing her best to keep from getting photographed by paparazzi the last few days but it hasn’t stopped us from trying! Uli and Jonzen, along with the third member of the trio, Galo, spent some time with Vanessa. And just as Uli predicts, the High School Musical star tries to cover her face as she exits a North Hollywood dance studio. Of course it doesn’t make for good pictures, but the video is pretty funny. Brace yourselves for another adventure with the boys of Pap 101.

Here’s the lovely video that goes along with those great Halle Berry’s Belly photos we posted yesterday. Uli’s back with his usual zany humor and sincere love for the art of paparazzi-ng. Yeah, that’s not a word, but let’s use it anyway. Besides getting to check out Halle walking through the Westfield Shopping Mall with her entourage in tow, you’ll also get to see a little photog-security guard word exchange. Unfortunately, arguing with the security is just part of the everyday for paps. The guards get on paps’ faces because it’s their job and vice versa. It’s a love-hate thing that exists in the Hollywood food chain, and you get to check it out. Enjoy!

No one likes to hear about someone losing there job, especially in these troubling and uncertain economic times. If you’re one of the fortunate that do have a job, do it well, regardless of whatever it is. If you take care of kids, take care of them as if they were your own kids. If you’re paid to flip burgers, flip those burgers as if you were serving them to Jesus Himself. And, if you’re paid to secure one of the worlds most bankable actors, you damn better be ready to take a bullet for him. Having said that, do you think the security guard in our latest episode of Pap 101 still has his job? I’m not sure, but probably not after this.

OK, so yesterday we brought you Part I of Pete’s Petroleum Predicament and now we’re back with Part II! I should have prefaced Part I’s video with the fact that the nice pap in the video is JFX’s good friend Jeff, who we all lovingly refer to as ‘Morrissey’ for some reason, I’m not quite sure why. Anyway, Jeff was nice enough to put down his camera and pick up some gas for Pete and his father and I thought he deserved an honorable mention for his chivalry. He even turned down the cash that Pete was offering up as thanks for his good deed. What a guy huh?

Paris has always been fun to follow. From the highest highs to the lowest lows, it’s been a ride. But of course, Paris has been off her A-game recently for some reason but we managed to catch her on a good day. Uli and Jonzen, along with a horde of other paps manged to have some fun with our gal Paris. Listen in as Paris gives a shout out to Pap 101!
