Paris Searches For London BFF

Paris Hilton has all the friends she needs in Los Angeles, so why not find a new BFF abroad? Watch out London, Paris is headed straight to your doorstep. Let the celebrating begin. According to Eonline.com, Paris is returning to the small screen to look for a new British Bestie. How about Lily Allen or Amy Winehouse? I’m sure those two would love to hang out with Ms. Hilton. The new show, aptly titled Paris Hilton’s New Best Friend, will be made especially for British audiences. “I’m in the U.K. all the time, but of course I can’t bring all my friends, so I’ve decided to look for a new BFF across the pond. I need a best friend who is hot, who can keep up with me, and most of all, who is real and won’t be a backstabber. I’m not leaving London until I find that amazing girl or guy who can meet the challenges of being my British bestie,” she announced. Paris will start taping the show in October and it should hit overseas TV later this year or early next year.

We all know that Brooke Hogan probably won’t be voting this November, but does she really have to continue talking about it? Brooke to her MySpace blog again recently and had some interesting comments about the art of casting a vote: “Only 54 percent of eligible American voters cast their ballots!!!!!! Half of them are only voting cause its ‘cool’ to vote for so and so…they aren’t even up to date on information,” she wrote. “I’M personally not up to date on the facts, so I don’t wanna make a stupid choice for our country. I WANT to vote but only when I know exactly whats going on. More ppl should think like that. Paris Hilton said ‘yaaaay go vote cause its cool and hott!!!!’ …SHE WASN’T EVEN REGISTERED.” Point well taken about Paris not being registered when she was promoting Rock The Vote four years ago, but come on. If Brooke doesn’t plan on voting, then shouldn’t she just keep that to herself? And where is her PR person? And why isn’t she going to college - she desperately needs an education! Actually, she probably just desperately needs a big hug with all the drama going on in her family life. The anger is showing, Brooke. You might want to consider therapy.
Paris Gets Sued

Everyone’s favorite hotel heiress (okay, at least Benji Madden’s) just got herself a new lawsuit to deal with. Florida-based Worldwide Entertainment Group sued Paris Hilton Tuesday for breach of contract, charging that she didn’t come through after being paid $1 million to star in and promote the 2006 comedy, National Lampoon’s Pledge This!. The lawsuit filed yesterday claimed that Paris owes $75,000 in damages for failing to provide “reasonable promotion and publicity” for the movie. The straight-to-DVD film, in which Hilton was also given executive producer credit, was released in December 2006. Paris and her reps have yet to release a response. I’m sure if Paris cleaned out one of her many designer bags, she can come up with the $75,000 plus change. Settle and move on, PH.
Ms. P Gives Back

Maybe being truly in-love has softened Paris Hilton more than we thought. If anything, it seems to have made her more giving. People.com is reporting that Paris has made a very sizable and generous donation toward the construction of a 460,000-sq.-ft. Childrens Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, which is expected to be completed in 2010 at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. In a statement released by the Associated Press, Paris said of her gift: “I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fundraising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious illnesses.” Hey, even socialites grow up. And even if this is a (great) PR stunt, there’s still money going to the Children’s Hospital, so everyone wins. Paris Loves Pooches!

Don’t get it twisted, y’all, Paris loves her animals! There was a story on Page Six last week claiming that Paris was at a recent photo shoot on Melrose Avenue when she decided to stop by a pet store to buy a puppy as an accessory for the shoot. The story went on to claim that the pet store refused to sell Paris a Yorkie (so cute) because it was an impulse buy and they knew her reputation with pets. Well, Paris is speaking out (via her MySpace) that this story is false, false, false. In fact, she wrote this on her blog: “I wasn’t looking for a new pet. I wasn’t even at a photo shoot that day.” She also went on to say that “puppies are not accessories or toys.” I actually believe Paris on this one. I’m sure she’s read millions of stories (true or not) in the media about her and she’s probably ignored most or all of them. The fact that she would even address this rumor/story leads me to believe that she’s very sensitive when it comes to animals. Yes, I got all of that from her saying “puppies are not accessories or toys.” Good lord, have I eaten anything today? I think fatigue is setting in.
